Pokémon Gold & Silver Remakes Details

More on Heart Gold/Soul Silver

The latest issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro reveals more details about the forthcoming Pokémon Gold & Silver remakes. Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver are due in Japan on 12 September and will come with a special PokéWalker accessory which tracks your steps and improves your Pokémon's experience.

The magazine reveals that you may be rewarded with items when two PokeWalkers are connected via infrared and it will log your daily activities and updates your PokéGear when you connect to Heart Gold/Soul Silver. The PokéGear has a phone, map, radio and item finder.

As for the Pokémon themselves, we are told that Entei, Suicine and Raikou will be at Level 40 and that the Notched-Ear Pichu will be unlocked when you trade your Pikachu coloured Pichu. The Notched-Ear Pichu knows Pain, Split Volt Tackle, Helping hand and Swagger but it can't evolve or be traded to another game. Red Gyrados can be found at the Lake Of Rage where it is raining.

Then there are The Kimono Sisters who appear to have a bigger role in this game. Team Rocket appear to have infiltrated their house.

There are also two new Pokéthlon sports - snowball fighting and wrestling. You can compete in these as well as Dash Hurdles and Bound Field.

Finally we are told that your Mother will return to save your money and buy you rare items.

Kanto HAS to be in it. It's the best part of any Pokemon game.

I get news from other sites. Kanto WILL be in it. But apart from that this news is new 2 me although i did no about the pokewalkers. They make it much easier to train higher level pokemon to 100.

Kanto will be present in HG/SS.

I would like to know when we're going to have the Pichu event. The next event Nintendo has lined up for us appears to be the lv100 Regigigas.

No, this news has been around for at least a day. Any visits to the major Pokemon sites, like serebii.net, would show that. ONM always seem to be several days behind with the HG/SS news.

Exactly. I pay visit to serebii.net nearly everyday and knew about most of this news. If anyone wants news on pokemon, you shouldn't wait for it to come on here, you should be looking at pokemon dedicated sites, such as Serebii.

Usually remakes don't interest me, but Pokémon Gold was the first videogame I ever played. I likely wouldn't own any games consoles had it not been released because up until then I was very against the concept.

My favourite Riegon was Hoenn. It had all the best legendaries, in my opinion.
And I don't see how these cna be worse then the originals. It's a GB colour going onto the DS. They con onl ruin it if they go to sleep.

In my opinion I think that the Gold and Silver versions were the best. These will be a must buy for me :).
