we'll probaley get the same thing except for mask of miracles

(it'd seem ridiculus to reales it before spctere's flute)

  2. JamieRIOT Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 09:06

Yeah pretty good, i would be interested in getting five of them. I can't wait to see the European line-up..
Whilst on the subject of the 3DS event, when are the winners being announced for the competition, as it's the 10th today! :\

Like shy guy 64, I don't see Mask of Miracles being a launch title over here - I'm still going to wait for Spectre's Flute anyhow.

I hope there will be another first-party title for the release over here: Steel Diver,
Pilotwings, and Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D are all due for a Spring release in Japan, so maybe on of those will be on the cards? I'll probably get whatever that is, and Nintendogs (one serious and one more casual).

(Also, as JamieRIOT said, I'd love to know when the results of the competition are coming!)

    This.

I don't think I'll win but the suspense is killing me!

You have to expect new releases on the 3DS to be £40 i reckon, as they wouldn't charge you the same for a new release DS game as a next-gen 3DS game.
Also, i was curious how much they are being charged in Japan, so i converted the prices. Ridge Racer converted to £57!!! O.o

Yeah, I saw a few other conversions (apparently Ridge Racer is £47 and €57), which seems a little mad - a €5/€10 increase might be justified, but that's a €15-€20 jump, which is a little crazy.

  7. lminett Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 10:39

We could well have a few more games added to that list when it comes out over here

  8. VaatiKaiba Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 10:50

Well, we'll have one just before it anyway: ONM have just leaked the Pokemon Black / White release date: look at the ad on the right hand side of the main page, or at a picture at http://twitpic.com/3or5pw !undefined

  9. Super_Mario Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 10:58

That's a terrible line-up. I'm hoping the Europe launch has at least one of Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Lylat Wars, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Kid Icarus...

  10. JamieRIOT Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 11:35

I definately think we will have at least one added big title to our realease line-up. Nintendo would want to add another Western hit to the launch, as opposed to the very Japanese 'Winning Eleven' and 'Samurai Warriors Chronicle'... Im going to go with 'Pilotwings Resort' - Bet = CONFIRMED!

  11. Shinnos Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 11:48

Nintendogs + Cats is the only first-party developed launch title? No thanks.

To be honest, I'm not planning to buy a 3DS at launch, as I plan on getting Pokémon Black/White and Okamiden for the DS around that time and there's only so many games I can play these days. My birthday is in September, so I'll probably wait until then and there'll be some more choice titles released by then...

  12. metalgario Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 12:12

Hmm, Good thing Pokemon Black & White will be out around the same time :/

  13. onm101 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 12:13

I am getting Skyward Sword if it's out in the Spring and Tomb Raider Trilogy so no 3DS for me :(

  14. JamieRIOT Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 12:20

Only the best advice comes from the mouth of JamieRIOT! 8)

  15. Joe_Crow Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 12:22

Hmm, there are a few I want (Street Fighter, Layton) but none I wanna pay full price for. If we have the same list I probably won't bother getting a game and just play Black/White. Which is kind of disapointing. Hopfuly we won't have to wait for too long for Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Star Fox and Zelda.

    This.

I don't think I'll win but the suspense is killing me!

I've been wondering that too, was starting to worry they were already announced and we just hadn't heard :P

As for the line up, I really hope the UK one is different. It's not a bad line up but there seem to be no really strong Nintendo first party games to push sales. Of course my Zelda fanboyness is pleading to the gaming gods that we get OOT on release, but for the japanese release I don't think Nintendogs would keep me happy enough :/ I was really expecting Kid Icarus, Zelda, Mario Kart, Starfox etc. to be out on release, a major first party game to push the sales like Nintendo have done in the past (i.e. Twilight Princess, Super Mario 64DS, etc.)

This doesn't mean I won't be trying to play half the games on this list of course! and if worse comes to worse looking at the pokemon release I can always play that on my shiny new 3DS to pass time until I can nab me a copy of Zelda :D

  17. Havak Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 13:08

I was expecting more to be honest, but maybe I was being too optimistic. I think it's somewhat likely we'll get Ocarina of Time 3D on release to replace the Professor Layton game.

Maybe Nintendo will be pushing Pokémon Black & White, since it uses the DSi features, I reckon they'll be wanting to sell those along with the 3DS. I'm sure a lot of people will do that.

  18. LuX Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 13:16

Was expecting a more 'full' line-up to be honest, for me, this is a poor line-up and whilst I may buy the 3DS on launch say I may not have any games for it for a couple of weeks.

And yes I know this is the Japanese line-up but ours isn't going to differ to much I imagine obviously we won't get Mask of Miracles So that will probably be switched for a sifferent game....I just hope it's OoT.

  19. Red Deer01 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 13:39

Think we'll get OoT instead of Layton, But is it just me or do they need to announce somewhere what games are availible on the Virtual Console on day 1.

They need to stop neglecting this feature and give us cheap classics on the go with the respect they deserve. I for one actually keep forgetting about this feature sometimes.

  20. TheAPERSON Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 14:33

I agree with Super Mario, this lineup is terrible. If we get a similar launch lineup for the 3DS, I think I'll hold out for one until the big games come out. Not getting Ocarina 3DS though, but want Lylat Wars 3DS and Kid Icarus. When they come out, I'm getting a 3DS.

  21. MaRiO12345 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 15:06

I really hope the europeon launch titles are better than this...

  22. nintengeek Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 15:09

Keep in mind this is only Japan's line-up.

If you decide to get a 3DS after the launch date I'd be careful as there are only 2.5 million being shipped outside of Japan up until the 31 of March.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got Kid Icarus as the trailer for that was in English. I also think I heard something about Super Monkey Ball being a launch game over here. The same goes for Dead or Alive.

Also, Skyward Sword has been delayed.

  23. Captain Kong Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 15:16

That is an awful launch line up.

  24. Wiintendo Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 15:17

Shoot! Theres no Starfox 3DS yet :?

Meh, its the japanese release date and I do hope the UKs lineup will have that.

Bar that, the games I;m interested in that lineup are Professor Layton and Nintendogs & cats.
If no Starfox 64 3DS or Layton, N & C will do for me :)

  25. scott1and Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 15:45

I ftheres no games in the line up I like I'll wait the extra few weeks for something I like, we will obviously get different games in our lineup cause for one some of the game are popular in japan only.

On another note at least we'll be seeing a japanese review of mask of miracle and at least we'll be given the hint to what the next game will involve.

  26. jobo Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:11

The most expensive game on the list converts to £47.32.
We should see them around £40 I think as most standard games retail at £40 and £45 at the very highest.
Still looking to be an awesome line up :D

  27. matey Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:13

I rekon mercenaries will be in UK launch as well as Driver renagade if not ill but PES 3D

  28. black-leg jex Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:23

You have to expect new releases on the 3DS to be £40 i reckon, as they wouldn't charge you the same for a new release DS game as a next-gen 3DS game.

This is what usual DS games prices are in japan so i reckon it'll be the same price as current ds games now.
also while it's annoying that there isn't any game on tha list i'm really looking forward too (i'm looking forward to layton but we won't get it on release and nintendogs is ok but not launch material)
I'll just play black and white on my 3DS for a bit :D

  29. zapper01 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:26

It's a good thing I'm not getting the 3ds straight away, the only one of them I want is Layton which probably won't come out over here for a while.

  30. carnivine chaos Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:48

Terrible, terrible line-up. Only one I'd even consider getting is SF4, and even then that's probably only because there's nothing else available.

  31. ARWING64 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:55

For a launch list that is the most disapointing list ever!! No Kid Icarus! The flagship 3DS title! No Lylat Wars or Ocarina! No Snake Eater or Mario Kart!
I sincerely hope the list changes for us!! well i might street fighter iv.

  32. onm101 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:56

Well I am only 12 and I'm being bought some of Skyward Sword (hopefully on release date) and Tomb Raider Trilogy I'm trading things for so maybe Christmas for 3DS..

  33. Dan-the-Wii-man Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 16:58

I hope there are some changes for the UK release cos i dont really want any of them... possibly street fighter but not really :/

  34. Hylian_Grouch Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 17:15

i expect we will get kid icarus instead of layton as apparently thats pretty much complete. i cant say i want any of those launch games which is unfortunate. i dont want to buy a 3ds on launch but not have any games for it...

  35. jct Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 17:31

Sorry, can we rewind a little, to when ONM put up a video showcasing the likes of Mario Kart 3DS, Kid Icarus and Starfox 3D, and said that these would be launch titles? (I think)

Now we're being told that there are only eight or so launch titles for the 3DS in Japan, the country that, when it comes to games, tends to get MORE releases than us?

And in your 2011 issue, you decide to drop the bombshell about how most of the big releases won't be emerging until AUTUMN AND WINTER?!!

    Great. Thanks a lot ONM.

  36. Exodizzle Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 17:49

That is a bad lineup. Tossing in a remake of OoT won't do it for us either. We need a good new game, rather than simply a remake.

Not looking like a Day 1 purchase for me.

  37. Chetters Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 18:01

if this is the initial line up then this wont be a midnight queue for me, only one game i want to play in all those which is layton, probably not the best one to show the new graphics and 3d-ness.

  38. nintengeek Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 18:23

GAME has the 3DS games listed with a £35 RRP.

  39. SilverLightning Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 18:38

That's crap to be honest. There's no GOOD 1st party title in there.

  40. hazzamadazzla Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 18:42

Im sorry but that is not a great lineup. I seriously hope Mariokart is on it over here.

  41. Rabbid_girl Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 19:03

Hmm..not the lineup I was expecting-I would only think of getting 3 of those games-Professor Layton, Nintendogs and Cats and Super street fighter IV-yes, thats right- a girl wants a fighting game-shocking, eh? This is the Europe launch games I want:

    Nintendogs and cats
    Mario Kart 3DS
    Animal Crossing 3DS
    Super street fighter IV
    Professor Layton and the wattchamacallit
    Star Fox
    ANND.......
    Carnival games!*
*JOKE! I would rather die then buy that game....

  42. The_Legend_not Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 19:16

I was expecting Kid icarus up there. :( :/

  43. keybearer322 Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 19:44

Im not getting 3DS untill my birthday (May). I hope the games are better then. However Uncklekevo said that they might all be sold out and that worries me.

  44. NEO.BAHAMUT Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 20:56

    Samurai Warriors AND Street Fighter?

I am a very happy bunny if we get the same release lineup!! =D

  45. jaytee Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 22:01

now all i need is the release dates for skyward sword and the 3ds and i will be a happy bunny for the rest of the month! :D

  46. imbusydoctorwho Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 22:36

If these are the official release list for the UK .
I think I'd wait for Zelda.

  47. Nintencat Monday 10th Jan 2011 at 22:49

    Great. Thanks a lot ONM.

Because of course ONM strive to disappoint. Their only aim is to make whiny little 8 year olds, like yourself, cry over their lack of physic ability to predict anything Nintendo related What did you expect them to do; phone you up and give an update whenever they hear anything new, rather that put it in the next issue? Bearing in mind it is a Nintendo MAGAZINE, I am placing my bets on the latter.

  48. hqmanpoke Tuesday 11th Jan 2011 at 16:36

we'll probaley get the same thing except for mask of miracles

(it'd seem ridiculus to reales it before spctere's flute)

Well remember they did that with phoenix wright. They released Apollo before the final phoenix wright game.. at least I think that's how it went?

Well I don't know much about that selection except Nintendogs+Cats, Street Fighter and Layton, but they would be the first ones id buy anyway.

  49. NSLADEY Tuesday 11th Jan 2011 at 16:55

Nintendogs, just cause i need somthing to entertain myself

  50. Cyberguy Tuesday 11th Jan 2011 at 20:20

I hope Mario Kart is a launch title over here.

  51. dragalionos Tuesday 11th Jan 2011 at 21:15

Not bad, was hoping for something more, but these will do.

will probably buy layton if it's out on release, and/or nintendogs and/or ridge racer.

  52. Sonikemio Wednesday 12th Jan 2011 at 17:37

Well, seeing as they'll need to translate them and all that, I'm actually expecting LESS in the European Launch Games. Fingers crossed for Super Street Fighter being available on launch, it's the only one I like the looks of on that list. Quite annoyed that they've re-used a DS Launch game and stuck '+Cats' after it and it suddenly makes it a new game. But Nintendo probably know that Nintendogs+Cats will sell more than other launch games (because lots of girls will buy it and stuff). Cue 3DS adverts with celebrities that no-one likes...¬_¬

  53. thomi6 Wednesday 12th Jan 2011 at 18:30

Street fighter and layton seem decent, but the others are just standard launch titles.

  54. 06harrisj Wednesday 12th Jan 2011 at 21:54

I've not read all the comments, but am I the only person who feels a little underwhelmed by this list, considering the huge list of games Nintendo announced that were being developed for the 3DS?

  55. super saiyan Thursday 13th Jan 2011 at 11:13

There isn't 1 game from that line-up that interests me.

  56. gadgetgirl16 Saturday 15th Jan 2011 at 11:15

I was expecting a better starting line up to be honest, but hopefully by then there should be better. It is going to be expensive at first because new technology always is, but when they first bring it out there might be some good deals. You can pre-order 3DS on Game now and they are letting you preorder 3DS games for £39.99 Assassins Creed Lost Legacy 3D, Batman 3D, DJ Hero 3D, Resident Evil Revelations 3D,Super Monkey Ball 3DS, Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Samurai Warriors: Chronicle,Dead or Alive: Dimensions, Ridge Racer 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising 3D, Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D,Nintendogs & Cats 3D, Madden NFL 2011 3D and FIFA Soccer 3D.

  57. KaRnage Wednesday 19th Jan 2011 at 19:50

None of these games appeal to me :? I was hoping more towards 'good' games??? :? :? :? Also will these be the only available games because that wii be boring:|
