Sonic creator's first 3DS game revealed

Will it be better than Let's Tap or Ivy The Kiwi?

The first 3DS game from the creator of Sonic has been revealed in the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu.

It's called It's called Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea and, according to Naka, it will enable to players to enjoy free flight through the skies without any problems.

As Naka told CVG last year, it is going to be "a very original action game based in the sky."

However, it sounds a bit like Kid Icarus as your character - Rodea - flies around and shoots enemies. Rodea can also perform spin attacks. There will also be some moments in the game where you won't be flying.

Although the game is on its way to 3DS, it's the Wii version that gets dissected in the magazine.

The Wii version uses the Wii Remote as a pointer. You simply press B and shake the Wii Remote to fly. Then you just need to point and press B and your character will fly freely through the sky.

You'll then use the A button to fire a gun or perform a spinning attack.

The game is a joint effort between Naka and writer Takumi Miyajima, who has previously worked on the Tales series and Arc Rise Fantasia.

Does it sound like something you'll be interested in? Hopefully it will be an improvement on Naka's recent efforts - Ivy The Kiwi? and < ahref="http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/article.php?id=9445">Let's Tap.
