Pokémon Black and White are officially the fastest selling Pokémon games of all time after shifting over 1 million copies in a single day in the US.
Black and White went on sale on Monday in America where they sold an incredible 1.08 million in one day.
Explaining the success of these new Pokémon adventures, Nintendo's communications chief Charlie Scibetta said: "Longtime Pokémon fans are attracted to the new Pokémon, new battle systems and a new region to explore, while newcomers enjoy the ability to jump in and have fun right away."
Pokémon Black and White have been popular all over the world. More than four million copies of the games have been sold in Japan while it is Nintendo's fastest seling DS game of all time in the UK.

Things like pokemon and advance wars are really suited to handheld gameing, and considering this is proberly the last pokemon game made for the ds (before they switch to 3ds) then its not really a surprise that this game is a cracker

How many were shifted/sold on the release day in the UK?
I read yesterday that no sales data had been released for the UK or for Europe... I hope it is, I'd love to know how well it did over here.
Bonkers sale figures though, I think it shows the naysayers that Pokemon is most definitely a relevant series in gaming today.
What do they do with all that money? I know what I would do I would have it all in my own vault. It would be like srooge mc duck from ducktales...
This Pokemon game is a absolute cracker and if any game deserved to sell well this deffonately does.

Happy to see it selling so well. Not least because it shows how incredibly strong the series and entire franchise is, but also because it's no less than what B/W deserve. They're brilliant.

According to vgchartz.com, pokemon black/white sold 1.4M units on day one, even better!
Yeah i know , i ordered a copy of white for my brother at the same time - he received it on Friday.
Doesn't surprise me how well this did.
I'm playing through it now! Ive got 5 gym badges, I am quite shocked at how difficult the game is now there are no familiar pokemon for me to turn to..
