If you own a Nintendo 3DS and have performed a system update you'll be able to watch a brand new 3D video on your system.
It's worth watching, too. It doesn't show any games but it shows what can be done with 3D video.
Then comes the first wow moment as cable cars on a mountain glide towards you before a train zooms past.
After watching a flower opening, you can get a full appreciation of glasses-free 3D as skydivers fall from the air.
We finish with a great fireworks display. A perfect way to end the video - the first 3DS gift from Nintendo.

it was really impressive and the image quality was suberb!
I can't connect mine to the internet. I've done exactly the same as I did with the DS and Wii, but to no avail.

, decided to abort my plans to get it at GAME. I'll get Super Street Fighter IV tomorrow from GAME with the £40 deposit though, so it's all good.
My dad had to pick his jaw up from the floor after he saw the 3D effect!
Updating now. Such a shame I'll have to wait a couple of weeks for my glasses to come before I can watch the 3d Effect. When I try without them I just get a crippling headache. Yay.
Errm...Am I missing something here? The 3d on the 3ds looks ok, but, it just makes me go cross eyed and feel sick

Managed to connect to the internet at last, more than I could with my Lite. Although when I attempt the system update it comes up with an error code. Any advice?

The trailer looks amazing and really shows how impressive the 3D effect is. If anyone is still doubting the ability of the 3DS this trailer will shut them up!
The video is great and can not wait to see a full 3D movie but just wish it had and movie player on it so you could watch MP4s on it like on the Ipod/PSP but not sure what movie format the 3DS users .
This video was really good for my Nan and my Mum, they didn't really get excited by the 3D calibration (where the 3D logo goes up and down) and the other games were a bit hard to show off 3D unless you were actually going to play them, the 3D video was really enjoyed by them though, they enjoyed the bear and all of the nature and suddenly really liked the 3DS as opposed to not really finding anything to do on it before.

Don't have the 3D turned up all the way, I find half way provides a great 3D effect but doesn't make me feel a bit weird, whereas on all of the way is nice for the first few seconds it gets a bit horrible.
The video was really impressive, a great way off showing off the 3D to skeptical mates.
i watched it but it was completely unnessecary. im much happier about my 3ds actually arriving than being able to watch a bear miss a trout in 3d
Just started the update, my 3DS looks so peaceful on it's little docking station. I'm actually in love.
I picked my Aqua Blue 3DS up from Game yesterday after work along with the labrador Nintendogs and cats and got them up and running today- my mind was blown!!
I have also completed my first system update and downloaded the free 3D video thanks to this news page- will we always learn of new updates here or should I check on the main Nintendo site every week?

The video was alright. I don't really know why we got it to be honest, the games show off the tech far more!

When I first saw the video on Friday, I was like, "Wow, this will be pretty cool if they use it for trailers and stuff," but then I saw the bit with the water on the hands and was like, "NINTENDO MUST MAKE A GAME REVOLVING AROUND WASHING PEOPLE'S HANDS." And that was that.
The video is amazing. The best thing about it is you can show off the power of the 3DS to your family without trying to talk them through a game. It's a neat little touch and was a nice surprise.
