THQ has released plenty of WWE games for Wii but the console has always been left out when it comes to UFC. That's set to change in June when the first Ultimate Fighting Championship game will be released for the console. However, it's a fitness game called UFC Personal Trainer.
THQ is certainly taking it seriously. The UFC fitness programs have been designed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine with support from leading mixed martial arts training experts who have worked with UFC fighters such as current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir.

There are 70 MMA and NASM-approved exercises to try out including wrestling, kickboxing and Muay Thai moves. These are designed to improve strength, endurance and conditioning. All 51 routines are designed to target specific muscle groups.
As with Wii Fit you can build your own personalised routines with up to 12 different exercises, each of which can be modified to increase or decrease intensity.
Yet, it's the game's Ultimate Training mode that will most appealing to fans of UFC. There you'll get hit the mitts against a variety of popular UFC personalities in a variety of rhythm and timing-based agility drill.
Playing through these will unlock a variety of different drills and you'll also be able to compete against friends.
"UFC Personal Trainer delivers an authentic UFC fitness experience that is both fun and challenging while providing an intense workout," said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ. "With the help of NASM and its Optimum Performance Training model, as well as the expertise of renowned MMA trainers Mark DellaGrotte, Greg Jackson and Javier Mendez, we are developing an original, high impact product that will help people around the world set and achieve their personal fitness goals."
Do you like UFC? Would you ever consider buying a UFC fitness game?

I like the ufc, and this is intresting, but i cant see this doing very well at all
I actually do MMA training so I will probably buy this to do my exercises at home but I'm not sure this will be as hardcore as my training is.
