Kirby Dream Land coming to 3DS eShop this week

Download the Game Boy platformer

Game Boy platformer Kirby Dream Land will be vaialble to download from the 3DS eShop on Thursday 30 June

Originally released for Game Boy in 1992, Kirby Dream Land was the blob's first ever game so if you want to see how Kirby began his gaming career, this could be an essential download.

It was also created by Masahiro Sakurai who went on to create the Smash Bros series. He designed it as a game for beginners and, as a result, it is very easy.

As you'd expect, you guide Kirby through a series of side-scrolling action stages. Kirby can walk, fly, inhale and defeat enemies - everything he needs to make it through to Mt. Dedede.

Kirby Dream Land will cost £3.60.

Kirby Dream Land is joined in the eShop by two DSi titles - a puzzler called Fairy Tale and Successfully Learning German: Year 3.

Are you going to download Kirby Dream Land?

You can also download Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong.

Wow, I remember my cousin lending me this, and I loved it. The only problem back then was not being able to save so you had to complete it in one go. Might consider downloading it, relive some memories.

I own the original cartridge of this still, but if the sequel, or Pinball Land comes out, I will definitely aim to get one of those. Dream Land 2 is a great and much longer game, apparently Kirby Pinball is fantastic too.

I will probably buy some e-shop money in the summer holidays so I might download it now but for now I've got OOT 3D to keep me going!
However, this does sound kind of cool!

£3.60 isn't too much, similar games like Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong cost the same. I'll certainly download this. I'd been hoping for a Kirby game on the 3DS VC for a while now, and have been putting off spending the remainder of the first £10 credit I put on my eShop balance. Now I have a compelling reason to spend it, thankyou Nintendo! Also, I'm loving the Kirby TV channel on the Wii, great 20 mins. entertainment not once, but twice a week!

Whilst this game is kinda easy it is very entertaining so its still worth getting.

Pretty sure this game's longer than Mario Land, and since I already own Link's Awakening, I think this'll be my first eshop purchase.

This is great news. When the eShop cards are released, this will be one of my first downloads. I surprised you all there, didn't I ?

I must download this!! It'll be such a nostalgia trip; I remember completing this game over and over. Definitely one of my favourite game boy games.

I think I will give this one a miss. I still haven't downloaded Link's Awakening yet.
