Captain America is similar to the recent Wii Transformers game - it looks like someone was sick on a battlefield and it's too short.
Unlike Transformers however, this does offer some solid gameplay.
First things first though. The graphics are unacceptable, especially since it was developed by High Voltage, who often harp on about the visuals in their Conduit games. Environments are dull and the Cap'n himself runs like he's smuggling woodland creatures in his tights.
Bat's The Way To Do It
Get past that and you have a game that tries its best to rip off the good bits from Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Combat is interspersed with reversals and fancy slow-motion bits, you gain experience which can be spent on enhanced abilities and you can fling your shield Batarangstyle to stun enemies.
Ultimately though, its length and lack of replay value mean you should probably rent it instead.
