Pac-Man & Galaga 3DS: You CAN delete saves

Namco Bandai admit miscommunication

Namco Bandai has revealed that you will be able to delete your save data in Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions after all.

Last week Wired reported that Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions on 3DS featured a single-save system that wouldn't let users delete high scores or unlocked content.

Perhaps fearing a backlash similar to the the one stirred up by fans over Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Namco Bandai this morning admitted that there had been a miscommunication over the save file.

According to the company, the save file can be deleted if you press ABXYLR when you boot up the game.

Does this mean you'll buy Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions?

You can read a Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions review in the September issue of Official Nintendo Magazine which is on sale on Thursday 4 August.

Ah yes, now this makes the game completely worthy. I mean, who needs high-scores tables when you can reset your save file after all!

    *sigh*

There are high-score tables in four of the six games. That was another falsely reported "fact".

I was planning on getting this game any way, i suppose the save file issue is just good news for folks who purchase pre-owned copies.

@ Chris, Nice review in sept's issue that review help persuade me to buy the game as I was humming and haring. I too picked up on the fact you stated that all six games have leader boards.... so now I'm confused is 4 or 6 of the games?

Also Namco Bandai sent me an e-mail to confirmed that I should get my free exclusive 3ds case too soon! sweet :D

@ last poster..... i feel the same way about your contribution.

    • All six games have online leaderboards
    • All six games record your highest local score
    • Four of the six games have leaderboards showing your top five local scores

Who in their right mind would buy such a load of crap anyway? Even always online DRM from Ubisoft is better than this CRAPWARE. Namco - how can you expect your 3DS games to sell when they're unfinished and in this case rubbish???
