Nintendo has just announced that Mario Tennis will be released for Nintendo 3DS next year.
Satoru Iwata made the announcement at the Nintendo 3DS press conference which took place this morning.
He said that the game will feature a gyro sensor mode but very little other information was released about the game. What more do you need? It's Mario on a tennis court!

Love Mario tennis, so am looking forward to seeing more of this. It looks great as well, and the 3D could be great.
Not played a Mario Tennis but I'm sure it'll be awesome in 3D! Good old Nintendo!
These games are brilliant! I love the previous versions, (the N64 version is still the best), and I'm looking forward to this too!
After Mario Golf on the GBA, this game is gonna need an RPG mode or it'll just feel half done.
After how little I've played Mario Tennis on VC compared to other N64 games I think it'd need the RPG mode for me to even think about getting it full price.
I don't see how Gyro controls will work on a tennis game but I liked Power Tennis on the Gamecube (even though it got frustratingly difficult near the end).
I've only played the Wii port of Power Tennis,it was okay but nothing good.
Let's hope it's good and offers something new to the sega.

Im REALLY Looking forward to this game, I hope they include some elements of Luigi's Mansion.
It would be awesome if Flutter, King Boo, Dixie Kong, The Portrait Ghosts were characters.
Also it would be cool if the Tanooki leaf was an ITEM
Camelot, Famous for Mario Tennis/Golf and Golden Sun. When I heard that Camelot were making another Game, I was hoping for a Golden Sun on the 3ds, now I'm disappointed that it's a Mario Tennis. Yes, I'm sure that this will be popular with some people, but my hopes were crushed, as Golden Sun: DD got me into RPGs and I bought the original, just because I love the series (It does not save though, so I can't really play it
). I won't be buying this, as I am not interested.
