Monster Hunter 4 announced for 3DS

Two games on the way for the handheld

As well as showing off Monster Hunter 3G at Nintendo's 3DS press conference, Nintendo also revealed that Monster Hunter 4 is in development for 3DS. Exciting times for fans of the series.

While Monster Hunter 3G is an updated version of Monster Hunter Tri, Monster Hunter 4 is an all-new Monster Hunter game and it is in development now. However, there's no word of a release date.

This was one of a few new games announced for the handheld at the conference. Earlier, Fire Emblem 3D and Mario Tennis had been unveiled.

AMAZING! Especially if this ends up being 3DS exclusive!

No one can complain the 3DS doesn't have software anymore with the new wave of greats incoming

Very excited for this, it looks like a new direction for the franchise which looks great. I'm also glad to see the return of the Tigerx and some classic monster hunter music.

One thing I know though and that is the 3ds's sales in Japan are going to boom with this and all the other Japanese game announced like Gundam, loveplus etc etc
