Nintendo announced Mario Tennis for 3DS this morning - and here is the first trailer plus a batch of screenshots.
It shows Mario taking on Bowser in a game of singles and they're joined by Peach and Luigi for a doubles match.
We're told that the game will support the console's gyro sensor.
Mario Tennis will be released in Japan next year.
Well this could be a potential purchase for me if it had a fun story mode like Power Tour had

Looks more like a remake of the Gamecube game. The sound effects and music are exactly the same

This is a stretch, but since this is a Nintendo/Camelot game, it would make my day if they included Golden Sun characters. I mean, the thought of them playing tennis is hilarious, but it would actually make me consider buying it instead of just playing my old N64 one over and over.

Actually. I was just about to say that this isn't the game for me. But having looked at the video i think it's perfect for me. I don't think i'll spend my hard-earned money on it. Might go for a rent or two or preowned at the highest.
Looks like 64 and Power Tennis, hopefully this version has a good single player like the Power Tennis Advance Tour. And of course online stuff. Excited!
The only crazy tennis game I've got is SEGA Superstars but I'm sure this can beat it! Great day Nintendo!

I REALLY REALLY hope that this is like the GBA game (in that it's sort of an RPG) if it's not I'm sad to say that I'll probably give this a miss.

is my FAVOURITE game of all-time!
If I had a Capture Device, I would LP that game.
If this has an RPG mode, this will be an insta-purchase with an added donation.
If this doesn't have an RPG mode, Nintendo shall recieve a formal complaint.
This game has me hugely excited, yet nervous at the same time. I need more details!
