Here are the first Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright screenshots.
Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed more details on the game. You may already know the story which finds Layton and Wright in Labyrinth City during a witch trial.
Wright has to defend a person who has been accused of witchcraft while Layton is trying to make sense of the city's Story Teller who writes things down which become reality.
There's a new gameplay system called Mob Judgement which sees Phoenix Wright in questioning against crowds of witnesses.
Mahoney is the the accused witch who Phoenix Wright defends while Jeeken (the red-haired chap) is the prosecutor in the case.
Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney will be released for 3DS in Japan in 2012.

I love the Art Style for Professor Layton VS Pheonix Wright! It looks nice and cartoony while still having great graphics with lots of details!
I really hope we get a release in 2012 or 2013, as this looks easily one of the best 3DS Games!

This looks awesome, and phoenix looks great in 3D. I wouldn't be surprised with we got another ace attorney game for 3DS after this. I'd be really upset if this didn't come over here. I've never played a phoenix wright game (though I have played Apollo Justice and Miles Edgeworth) but I don't mind.
Intresting. They seem to be using a Phoenix Wright style of view while using the new 3Dish graphics of Professor layton. Nice!

Not gonna lie, THIS is the reason I bought my 3DS
Hmm, not so sure about the art style. I mean, Layton and Wright are both cartoons (I know in MoM Layton's gone all 3D, but still), and this doesn't seem the nicest way to protray them personally. And surprisingly Wright looks better in 3D than Layton, perhaps because he's more realistic looking in the first place.
Still, it's the story that counts, and the gameplay, and the visuals still look great. And the cutscenes are drawn animations, so it's all good.
Don't like the Medieval theme.
Don't like the dialogue boxes.
Don't like the graphics.
Hate the new characters and the way they look, way too Phoenix Wright for Professor Layton.
I consider this a Phoenix Wright game rather than a Professor Layton game and in fact I hope that it is NOT part of the Professor Layton series and that Layton is just a guest. It looks that way anyway since there are no gameplay pictures with Layton or Luke yet.
When I saw the ad it looked amazing but now... not so great...

I would buy this game for one reason: to hear Professor Layton shout 'Objection!'
Looking to be an excellent culmination of the two games, and as a big fan of both I'm really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
