In recent weeks, Nintendo has announced Ice White and Coral Pink 3DS consoles but this one beats the lot of them. It's a limited edition Legend Of Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS and Nintendo has confirmed that it's coming to the UK on 25 November.
Open it up and you'll see that lettering is all gold as is the 3D slider.
The console will be bundled with a copy of Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D.

ZOMG, that is the most beautiful thing I'll never have. Why couldn't they have bought that out when Ocarina of Time 3D was released? Not fair... But it is beautiful...

I waited for this before OoT 3D came out, but caved at the time since it looked like it was never happening...

And this is why I'm never buying a Nintendo console at launch again. The 3DS' history in a nutshell:
Beginning of the Year - Release new console in limited colours with limited features and few quality games available.
End of the Year - Reduce the price, gradually update with all the cool features throughout the year and release all the pretty colours for Christmas. Leaving the early adopters who supported Nintendo through a tough time with having paid £100 more, with the promise of 20 free games when 10 of them don't even have a firm release date yet. Then, tease a second circle pad release for outside of Japan in the New Year.
Is it hard to see why I'm starting to lose faith in Nintendo?
They could at least allow ONM to release the top lid design as a transparent decal (so that it will work on all the billions of 3DS colours that are due out 9.9). Because y'know, the 3DS has been out since March and Ocarina of Time 3D has been out since June; people who wanted the game will own the game. Hell, I'll be fine if they saved it for the January issue just so sales of this bundle don't go down for Christmas. I could ask for the gold finishes, such as on the buttons and the depth sider, but I'll be nice.

Nintendo are fools. If they offered this bundle when the game was first released, think how many more units they would have shifted by now! Plus in a way it seems unfair to those of us who already own a 3DS and OoT3D, especially those who are big Zelda fans. I could never justify buying one of these because I already have a 3DS, and that's a real shame.
It just looks like they posted the zelda logo on the black 3ds with a border. But out of all the versions id recommend this one to anyone who wants a 3ds. Wonder how much rupees it'll cost?
You know what, it doesn't even matter that I already have a 3DS, because even if I owned this new design, I wouldn't want to use it anyway. That looks more like something I'd buy for my collection rather than a console I'd buy to use. But that's just me.

This really bugs me, they wanted people to buy 3DS's and now they release this knowing it's too late for most who own one and the game already... I love Nintendo but they need to think more carefully about when this stuff is sold and how unfair it will be for most.
Have you never played a 3DS? It's awesome - I'm thinking you're saying that with the false illusion that it's another DS upgrade, when factually it is not - it's next gen hardware. When are people gonna realise this? The 3D doesn't matter, that shouldn't stop you buying it - It's just because it has the ABILITY not because that's what the console is all about... You're stupid if you don't know that.

well i'm getting a 3ds for xmas and i'm also getting ocarina of time so if this is under £180 i will get it but if its not i will just get the red one and buy ocarina of time seperately

I was originally thinking, meh, it's just the same as Cosmos Black but with a fancy pattern on the top (a skin could always fix mine), but then I saw the depth slider. Oh my God that is one hot depth slider.
Drat, I was hoping so bad for this to happen about when Ocarina of time 3D was gonna be released! I was getting stupidly overemotional about it.
Well as far as I'm concerned it's too late, I brought a perfectly nice black 3DS a week before the release of OoT3D in readiness for it as I'd given up on there being a special edition Zelda one. I just don't feel comfortable with spending so much money over a short space of time. It'll probably be too expensive for me to feel it to be worth it anyway. I'm still quite glad I got access to the ambassador games for free. (there's still 10 more to come)
I'd prefer to get Skyward sword, Okamiden, Okami and Soul Reaver over the course of my birthday and Christmas.

Ok, so how much and where from?
Ok, actually a bit annoyed at this. It's not just the fact that they've held it back for so long, it's the fact that you HAVE to get the game with it. I really do want one of these, but if I have to pay extra for a game that I've already got as well as losing all the data I've built up over the time since I got it at launch and the ambassador games I really can't see how I can justify getting one.
If Nintendo make the system transfer work between two 3DS systems instead of just DSi to 3DS, then this MIGHT be worth thinking about. Otherwise, seriously, what the hell.
Find it frustrating but having a collection of all the limited edition consoles will still make me buy one. Just hope I can move all my Virtual Console, DSiWare and Nintendo Ambassador games over to it so I can sell my current 3DS.

I think you misunderstood him. He said he already had a 3DS, but if he bought that he wouldn't be buying to play it he would be buying it to add to his collection and keep in mint condition. His comment had nothing to do with the common misconception that the 3DS is just an upgraded DS, and I'm sure he was perfectly aware of the fact that it isn't.
WHY NINTENDO WHY
I am currently in turmoil about whether to trade-in my 3ds for one of these bad boys, and then trade in the game as well.
Reasons against:
1. The hassle of trying to transfer all the games I have onto an SD card
2. What about my Ambassador certificate thingy? What'll happen to that
3. Its going to be inordinately expensive no matter what I do
4. I already own a 3ds and I'm just being silly

That really depends on the price. It looks gorgeous, and it'd be the reason I've been (sort of) looking for to actually get OoT3D, but if it costs more than I'm willing to give (still figuring out the numbers on that), then I'd rather just by one of the duller consoles.

I Recently lost my (ambassador program) 3ds and have been looking to buy another, do you guys at ONM know whether i'd be able to transfer my club nintendo account over to this 3DS when I eventually buy it? This has got to be the biggest coincidence ever - at school, before this article was posted, I was convincing my firend (Will) to get a 3DS, and he really wants one for the Mario games and Ocarina of Time, and then he said that Nintendo should release a Zelda 3DS to celebrate the Zelda 25th Anniverary. He said that they should make it black with a gold Hylian Crest on the lid, and I thought that would look pretty awesome. When I got home, I went on the ONM website and saw this article - I was gobsmacked... When we saw each other at school the next day we were both discussing it and we thought that either this was the biggest coincidence ever, or Nintendo had been spying on our conversation... I'm not joking about any of this story (except that we thought Nintendo was spying on us, that obviously isn't true), and I personally think that it was mindblowing... Oh, Nintendo, you never cease to amuse us!
GAME are getting this special 3DS
I went into GAME yesterday, and asked them about it, They went to check and said yes theyre getting it bit no price is confirmed. One guy said probably £200, Im thinking about around £180.

Gamestation have put it on their website for £169.99, which is good as I have a Gamestation within walking distance
On GAME's website it says £170, but on Amazon you can pre-order for £165, so I'd say it will defo be £170 or less.
