Burger Time Deluxe Review

This burger is definitely bad for you

Deluxe? You're having a laugh. In terms of quality, Burger Time Deluxe isn't Gourmet Burger Kitchen but football ground chow wagon.

Playing as Peter Pepper, you have to make burgers, but the method is just bizarre. Parts of the burger are scattered across a Donkey Kong-style level and you have to walk over them to make them drop down to the plate below. You'll be left wondering why there is a meat pattie sitting on top of a ladder.

Burger Time was originally an arcade game but with the Game Boy's monochrome visuals, it's difficult to identify the enemies - we had to look in the manual to discover that it was an egg chasing us. They really don't make them like this any more and that can only be a good thing. Playable, but pointless.
