Picture Sonic The Hedgehog as a drunken pensioner, bumbling around the Green Hill Zone, staggering down ramps and falling off loops. That's what controlling your furry 'legend' is like.
This was a WiiWare game and although this version is arguably better looking, the same problem remains - your furball is far too floaty and controlling him becomes an exercise in anger management as he bumps into one obstacle after another, some of which are difficult to spot.
With one hit kills for landing on spikes which are often difficult to pick out from the scenery, it becomes very frustrating. Even seemingly simple things like jumping and pressing A to kill the triangular enemies are tough thanks to the unresponsive controls.
It's a shame because it looks pretty, the platform levels are well designed and the titular furry legend has a bit of character about him but you shouldn't have to put up with these controls.
