Resident Evil Revelations to be bundled with Circle Pad Pro

Circle Pad Pro coming in January with new Resident Evil 3DS game

Nintendo has confirmed this morning that the new Circle Pad Pro attachment will be released in the UK on 27 January 2012, alongside Resident Evil Revelations.

The Circle Pad Pro adds an extra control scheme to the game, allowing for more traditional twin-stick style play.

It's no surprise that the new attachment is arriving alongside a Capcom-developed game - the Japanese firm helped develop the Circle Pad Pro tech for use with Monster Hunter 3G.

Resident Evil Revelations will be available as a standalone game or as a special edition bundle. The game is split into the more traditional survival horror of the Campaign mode and the recently announced Raid Mode, which takes inspiration from the recent Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

Campaign mode takes place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and 5, and tells an elaborate tale involving Resi old hands Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine plus a host of new characters.

tbh, I'd rather have it with Monster Hunter 3G, even though that could take a while to come out. If only we had a confirmed release date.

    Circle pad pro?

Is this like a different circle pad attachment in the way that there is a classic controller and classic controller pro?

Depends on how much the bundle cost, but I might go for it.

I agree it looks odd, but as long as it makes the games it is used with more comfortable to play, and the 3DS itself more comfortable to hold then I will get one, especially if the bundled one with Resident Evil is Resi-themed in some way.

If it means that i can play Monster Hunter, then it's worth it

I might be tempted to get this, but it all depends on the price... and when Nintendo will release the new version of the 3DS (which is no more a probability for me). I've heard that in the US, will be even more expensive than regular 3DS games, and I'm afraid we'll also get a similar treatment... unless the said price was for a similar bundle.

Well, I'm sure we'll get plenty of information in Early January, anyway.

Why would Nintendo go to all the trouble of making a brand new 3DS console if all that is needed is a cheap add on. No-one would buy a brand new one if they still have the current one. Nintendo have made SOME bad choices, but this wont be one of them!

No, your 3DS slots into it nicely and has a circle pad on the right hand side so you can usal dual C-Pads.

You're actually wrong, the reason Nintendo are releasing this is because they're not making revisions this generation - The 3DS is the 3DS and that's it... Somewhere down the line (half way through) they may suddenly decide to make one other 3DS but they've said they don't have any plans to release a new 3DS in this generation at all.

That's funny because others have actually tried it and say it's comfortable... Don't just judge based on how it looks.

Knowing Nintendo this'll be delayed for a week.

Just kidding Nintendo, I love you really.
