What a year it's been for Kirby. It began with the adorable Epic Yarn and finished with the four-player fun of Kirby's Adventure Wii.

Once you've got over that, this really is an excellent platformer, second only to Super Mario Land in the 3DS Virtual Console lineup. It's classic Kirby: you float around Dream Land, gobbling up enemies and copying their abilities in a bid to gather the pieces of the Star Rod.
There are some fun mini-games in between levels and it's more difficult than recent Kirby games - the battle against Mr Shine and Mr Bright is an example of a tricky early boss. If you've already got this from the Wii Virtual Console, the 3D doesn't justify the price, but for everyone else this is another ace Kirby game.

I have the game on VC and I still went ahead and bought the 3D version. I have no regrets.
I thought you said Super Mario Land 2 was better than the original
Good point. I've downloaded Kirby's Adventure 3D, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2, and I can say that SML is quite frankly, awful. Kirby's 3D I thought was really good... anyway, SML2 is easily the best of the bunch... sort of.
Loving this game. I've never played a Kirby before, but considering the eShop reviews and this I got it- a brill game
I was watching the video on eshop yesterday and it still looks like Kirby is going strong, however I think that whilst the game is certainly the best of the 3D classics the 3D in it is probably the least innovative in the whole 3D Classics collection. Still I'll probably get it anyway as I've never really bothered with Kirby much in recent years.
