Metal Gear Solid 3DS release date announced

March looks set to be a big month for 3DS with the Kid Icarus Uprising release date also scheduled for the third month of the year.

Yet many fans will be most excited about this Metal Gear Solid 3DS game, the first Metal Gear game on a Nintendo console since GameCube's Twin Snakes.

Like Kid Icarus Uprising, Metal Gear Solid 3DS will be compatible with the Circle Pad Pro, with the second Circle Pad allowing users to target distant foes with ease.

Other new features for the 3DS version include gyro controls and an all-new camouflage photography system which enables you to take pictures with the 3DS camera and use the colours to create Snake's camouflage.

I've not got round to playing 3 yet, but will do my best to play it before this releases. I think I'm going to pick it up on release, but may leave it to my birthday :/

Also, anyone know where I can get Twin Snakes cheaply? I want to pick this up so I can play it on the Wii

Phew, considering my 15th birthday is the day after, this'll be my first (legal) 15!

    Can't wait.

WHAT?! Oh, man, now I'm going to have a hard choice picking between this and Uprising. What to do, what to do.

EDIT: Bethri, I would recommend getting Twin Snakes from Amazon. It's a Gamecube release so online stores would be your best bet.

Yeah, I know. It's just, if I was to pay more than £20, there's plenty of copies on eBay for that much XD

I paid £38 for The Twin Snakes, totally worth it though. Most likely won't get this day one since I've already played the PS2 version multiple times, can't get enough MGS though :D

i predict this game will be rubbish without the circle pad due to aiming with face buttons being an absolutely ridiculous premise, as spliter cell 3d proved. this or uprisiing? simple. this. i still think uprising is just going to be absolutely mediorce for various reasons, and this has been proven to allready be fantastic.

hope its bundled with the circle pad... i'd pay £50 quid for it if it did.

also, i do happen to have a ps3, and the look of the metal gear solid hd collection takes my eye... lets see how this does. also, this has yoshi in it. the hd collection wont. and thats worth a lot to me.

Fantastic news, great to see this is a 15+ plus at that as well.
Hopefully we'll get a demo to try before the game's released.

Yay! At last! I was disappointed that the original 2011 release date came and went with very little news or reasoning, but at least now I know when I can get my hands on this 'slippery Snake' (pun most definitely intended).
