Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition release date revealed

New details on the Pokemon spin off title

So the new Pokemon game that everyone was waiting to be announced in this month's CoroCoro is Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition, a Pokemon spin-off game that was actually revealed in December. At least CoroCoro did reveal a Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition release date.

Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition is coming to DS in Japan on March 17th. It is, as you may already know, a crossover with Nobunaga's Ambition, a Koei developed turn-based strategy RPG series.

In Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition, each warlord has a partner Pokemon and the aim is to defeat the leaders of each of the 17 castles. Once you defeat a leader you take the castle.

Some more warrior leaders and their partner Pokemon have been revealed in the pages of CoroCoro - Hideyoshi has Monferno, Motonari has Servine while Motochika has Dewott. So it will feature Pokemon from old games and Pokemon Black and White.

There are 6 VS 6 battles in which you use one Pokemon per trainer, although there are multiple trainers in each area. You can also battle with friends online.

Along the way, you'll make friends with Pokemon and leaders as you increase your strength.

Would you like Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition to be released in the UK?

I can safely say I wasn't expecting that! This sounds like one of the most interesting spin-off's to date. I'm a big fan of strategy games so it'll be interesting to see how this one plays.

I really, really hope this comes out in the UK, it's 2 of my favourite games mashed together! I can't see it happening though to be honest, only the occasional Nobunaga's Ambition game comes out here. Thankfully for those into it there have been lots of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series released here to satisfy our strategy urges, but I can't see it being popular enough to warrant a Euro release.

Stranger things have happened though, Koei Tecmo have been very good at releasing stuff in Europe recently.

Well that was anti-climatic, all that build up and it's a game we already knew about.

I kinda already knew about it, so really its only a date they given. Mind you it does seem like a really cool spin off. Although i'm sure Nobunaga's a Japanese only title.
I wouldn't of minded seeing the R/S/E remakes hehehe

Yeah, I heard about this on serebii.
Hope it comes to UK! that would be awesome! but we`ll have to wait quite a while, I suspect.
But yeah, not what I expected at all! but not what I necessarily wanted..?

so, a japnaese orientated test heavy game which would need a tonne of localization to be sold over here to be met by audiences are unsure?

doesn't sound very likely. this would have to be released very late this year due to the huge amount of text needed to be translated. look, the japanese got the latest prof layton games about a year and a half before us, and this should be very similar. so it may just not be worth it

I'd certainly like to play this, and I reckon even with the highly Japanese appearance Nintendo wouldn't mind making an attempt at selling it over here. There must be enough Pokefans who will blindly pick this up as it is, so hopefully we'll see a UK release by the end of the year. Fingers crossed they can come up with a better title for us though.

When CoroCoro made the announcement that it'd have new game information, we didn't know of this game. It was a bit misguided for people to expect another game to be revealed :/

I forsee a lot of angry letters if this dosn't come to the UK.
