Nintendo has confirmed that the Animal Crossing 3DS release date will fall in 2012 in Japan.
The Animal Crossing 3DS release date was listed on the company's latest 3DS release schedule.
However, Animal Crossing 3DS doesn't yet have a release date for Europe or the US. Although the game did appear on the latest release schedule for Europe, it just says TBD next to the game name rather than a year.
I should be happy we at least got some sort of update on Animal Crossing, but dear Arceus I'm just so stupidly excited about this game! I just want a European release now please D:
how is this new information? i think people had guessed that japan would get animal crossing this year. also it tells us nothing about it's release here or any new information on the game.
The article says that the game's release date will fall in 2012 in Japan which means that Japan will get Animal Crossing 3DS sometime in 2012 so it doesn't mean the game will released in Japan during Fall (Autumn) 2012.

But will we still have American English in the game with "Mom" instead "Mum" and "Football Helmet" instead of "Hockey Helmet"? Because we in the UK don't play Football with helmets on and our Football is round since the English used has been different in the games that have been released in the UK. (E.g. Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Inazuma Eleven (except for Bobby Shearer) used British English but Pokemon Black, White and past Animal Crossing games used American English.)

i refuse to call it football. i call it handegg. because your throwing an egg. it isnt really a ball is it? i agree with you, really, and dont really like the americanisation of the words in games like pokemon and animal crossing where the society it is set in is more similar to english style than american style. really, its more japanese, but japanese society out of cities is more similar to us then american.
mind you, i never care what people say in pokemon anyway, i just shout TYRANITAR, USE AVALANCHE! and then everyone falls to the power of avalanche. best move ever, because it is just so beast.
however, after all of this, would it be worth another 2 month localization wait? probably not, but its a reasonable debate...
I'm hoping if/when the Wii U version comes along there's better integration beyond the briefcase mechanic.
With the Network coming online, Animal Crossing would be perfect for this; moving from Wii U(TV) to tablet to 3DS with one persistent town rather than maintaining two separate towns as I've done since the GC. No-one wants to pay Nook twice!
That wouldnt be fair if Euorpe gets it late i really am looking forward to that game it was awsome on Wild World and Lets Go To The City so this must be AWSOME on 3ds. Ive heard you can swim on water and the mayor is Tom Nook I hope Europe Doesnt get it too late P.S reply the latest news on the game please; mutch appreciated

i really am looking forward to that game as well and could be next year.
Nook, is not going to be the mayor lol, you are the mayor in this one. I too got the 3DS just for this game, (at the full release date price!!!) I have since got bored with it and it is collecting dust in the absence of anything half decent to play on it I may get Resident Evil Revelations to try to rekindle my interest in it but I'm afraid I'm sick of waiting for AC3DS and rather regretting spending out on the 3DS now. I don't think any amount of tweeking the game or new features can make up for a two year wait.......the 3DS may be obsolete by then, replaced by Virtual RealityDS or something.
MDigi has hit the nail on the head. We got our 3DS' primarily to play Animal Crossing 3DS but it's taking way too long to arrive. The kids are enjoying Mario Kart 7, which I've yet to try, and they really enjoy Zelda OoT. I'm not a Zelda fan (heresy I know) and I'm not bowled over by Super Mario 3D Land either.
Were it not for Pullblox and a couple of other games, I'd be seriously wondering whether to just trade my 3DS in for a PS Vita.
