3D Classics: Kid Icarus available to buy this week

This week's Nintendo downloads

You've still got until tomorrow to register two selected games through Club Nintendo to claim your free copy of 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. However, if you haven't got any of the games in the list, you might be pleased to learn that the game is available to buy this week from the 3DS eShop. It will be joined in the eShop by DSi games Castle Conqueror Against and Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon while TNT Racers is this week's Wii download.

3D Classics: Kid Icarus Uprising (3DS: Nintendo, £5.40) is a remastered 3D version of the original Kid Icarus game for NES.

In this platformer, Pit must save goddess Palutena from evil Medusa in order to defend Angel Land. Using his bow and arrow to take out enemies, he has to find the Three Sacred Treasures on a journey which takes him from the underworld to the sky. Want to know if you should buy it? Read our 3D Classics: Kid Icarus review.

Castle Conqueror Against (3DS or DSi: Circle Ent., £1.80 or 200 DSi Points) is the fourth game in the series and, according to reports, it has more in common with the fantasy of Revolution than Heroes, last month's sci-fi strategy game.

In Castle Conqueror Against, the Empire has invaded your beautiful island in search of gold, hunting many innocent people on the way. Some tribes have even betrayed their faith for fear of the intruders. As a famous warrior and a loyal worshipper, the island's god has given you his blessing to curse and punish the invaders to protect your tribe.

Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon (3DS or DSi: Nintendo 3DS, £4.50 or 500 DSi Points) is the second download this week to feature Medusa. You have to take on Zeus in a game of pinball with modes based on the legends of Greek mythology such as Medusa, who can turn your steel ball into stone.

TNT Racers (WiiWare: dtp entertainment, 1000 Wii Points) is a multiplayer racing game for Wii. However, TNT doesn't refer to explosives; it stands for Tracks 'N' Tricks and promises new features, gadgets and race courses for you to master.

The only one I'd have downloaded would have been Kid Icarus, though I already have it.

Well so much for getting Kid Icarus early for registering 2 games! I'm definitely not paying for it when I was supposed to get it free!

Good to see it's now available for everyone else though, I'm sure there are plenty of people wanting to play it before they get Uprising :)

I've just registered OOT3D and Super Mario 3D Land and the message hasn't appeared on my Club Nintendo account. Neither has the limited edition 3DS competition message which is more important!

Update: Okay, logging off and logging back in again brought the links up on the page hooray!

My new problem is that I've entered codes for nintendogs and cats and mario kart 7, but the 3DS competition has said that I've only voted once! I should have two entries for four games, ahhh!

UPDATE: I have the code and my entries have been properly recorded! :D

Whew, I registered one code and my friend had one and I've been trying to get it off him for a month, and now I finally got it 30 hours before deadline... I got an email saying I'll get the code in a few days... :?

I already have Kid Icarus, and for the others - I don't think I'll get them.

I've noticed that the VVVVVV release date has been delayed to February (according to Wikipedia), which is disappointing. I've also realised that you can only play 10, 20 or 30 pounds on the 3DS, I wish we could choose what we ant to buy, (an item that is £3.99 for example, then when at the checkout thing, it could just take £3.99 out of the account.) it's annoying.

It's making me wonder whether I should get it on Steam instead...

I hope Nintendo do my idea!

You can :D It was added in the recent update. Just buy it when your wallet is empty and it should give you the option to only pay for that purchase. You can even partially pay if you have money in your wallet - I've used my card to pay as little as 30p for something I had most of the money already for.
