If there's one game that people on the ONM forum are talking about more than any other, it's Resident Evil Revelations. Capcom's survival horror game was released on Friday and you've been leaving your verdicts on Guitar Hero's Resident Evil Revelations forum thread.
Other than Riverlution pointing out that "there is some slowdown in the lifts," and lyingthroughyour saying that "the non ship segments let the game down a bit," it's hard to find a negative comment about Resident Evil Revelations.
neko paul thinks it's the best Resident Evil game he's played for a long time. "I just finished the Story mode. This is the best Resident Evil game I have played in years. The new characters are well thought out, the story keeps you guessing, Raid mode is awesome and for the first time a modern Resident Evil game has actually made me jump! I haven't jumped out of my skin like that since Resident Evil 3."
Neko Paul wasn't the only one who found Revelations scary. MetroidAzura commented: "I'm thoroughly enjoying Revelations. It's genuinely frightening and had me tossing and turning last night. Bloomin' scary. The last game to make me do that was Bioshock nearly three years ago. I was also thinking about the amount of content packed onto the cart. There's the rather hefty Story mode, Mission mode, Raid mode. Just wow."
Even a hardened Resident Evil fans like ninjafox wwas frightened by some of the moments in Revelations. "I had my first moment in Chapter 4 today when I actually jumped as I had convinced myself there was nothing in the room and then an enemy appeared. I was sceptical if Resident Evil Revelations would scare me at all as I have played Resident Evil titles in the past but this certainly delivers plenty of scares."
Well don't say that Capcom didn't warn you...
So Revelations is scarier than Resident Evil 4 but some of you think it's just as good looking too, comparing it to the best looking Wii games.
Xenoblade Hero said: "I've completed the game now on Normal Mode. What fun! Absolutely brilliant. Loved how cinematic the whole thing was - it felt like I was playing a high-quality Wii game, which is something to be applauded. Mind you, I did notice a plot hole."
Meanwhile Imbusydoctorwho thinks it is the best looking 3DS game out there. "The game is brilliant. it looks fantastic, the best looking 3DS game hands down."
Best looking 3DS game ever? Better than Star Fox 64 3D or Ocarina Of Time 3D? That's one to debate in the comments.
Another topic of debate for the past few months has been the Circle Pad Pro. Despite some people saying that it's ugly, many of you picked it up as part of a Resident Evil Revelations bundle.
Aboyandhissequel was pleasantly surprised by it: "The Circle Pad Pro is nicer then I thought. It's not heavy, not as bulky or ugly as the pictures make out, and the second pad is just the same quality as the other one." RRG was even more enthusiastic, saying: "The Circle Pad Pro is brilliant and the game is ridiculously scary."
We'll leave the final comment to danbish who says: "I am so pleased this is a proper old school style Resi game! The scares and chills are back, the diaries of the crew and passengers and even some of the old sound effects! Love it and it's made me realise just how much I've missed it!"
What do you think of the game? Do you agree with our Resident Evil Revelations review score? What would you give it?

i got this game last friday and finished on the following saturday after a 7 hour gaming session
If I hadn't just bought a house, I'd pick this up in a second. In fact, I probably still will. The demo was pretty fun on normal difficulty but on hell it was absolutely brilliant! This one will be worth a couple of playthroughs at least.
IT IS NOT SCARY. I'm sorry compared to every other survival-horror game out there this is not scary. It's near the frightning level of DOOM. There aren't any true zombies in it for christs sake. Dead Space, now thats scary. One of the few reasons to get a PS3.
Just go home.
I played the demo and quite enjoyed it, but not sure whether to get the full game as it will be my first Resi game....
As a huge fan of the Resident Evil series since the first on PS1, I'd be lying if I didn't say that Revelations wasn't one of the definitive factors for me wanting a 3DS
and the game was worth the wait, it's keeping up the great momentum the console had over the fall and Xmas (Starfox, Mario 3D land, Mario Kart 7, Pokemon Rumble) and now Kid Icarus and Metal Gear are around the corner, but Revelations is just a superb handheld experience and really is the first ever portable game that made me feel like playing a normal console.
Fool...
It's a good scare
Finally got a copy this evening, and it is awesome so far. Plays great, handles great (even without the Circle Pad Pro, but I'm used to one stick resi...) and the LOOKS!!! Wow, it looks absolutely stunning, in every way. A top notch game thus far, this is many an evening sown up!
I haven't really been scared by any monsters, but I once jumped when I turned and Parker stood behind me.
My comment got in! It was probably one of my worst ones though xD I stick to my word- the game is amazing, the plot is nonsensical and Raid Mode is pure awesome.
Stop being an assumptious fanboy, you fool. Who cares if it isn't scary? The game isn't good based on whether it frightens people or not, it's good based on the quality of the experience, and judging from the opinions of almost everyone who has played it (clearly not including you) it's a superb game.
PS3s are brilliant, but fanboys aren't. Accept the fact that backing a single base in gaming is idiotic and shut up. What are you even doing on a Nintendo forum, anyway? Crazy foo'.
@marrow. no offence but ive played deadspace and it wasnt scary, i couldnt stop laughing actually because my friend made a stupid voice to the character, and also pointed out that hes meant to be an engineer, but is some how perfect at using guns , resident evil revelations, although still not that scary, freaked me out more than deadspace .
Anyway revelations is awesome, especially raid mode, its sort of like mercenaries but more based on completing a mission rather than killing enemies , which i prefer actually because if it was just like mercenaries id be annoyed i bought mercenaries 3d. Got the circle pad too ( Zavvi deal was amazing) and i love it, i really hope they make the 3ds work as a controller for the wii u , as its got all the buttons it needs with the circle pad pro.
i prefer Revelaitons to Revelations personally
I think it's a fantastic return to form for the series, after RE5 dropped the horror element altogether it's nice to see it make a return. It's been said a lot already but the ship setting really is the best Resi location after the mansion in the original game, very claustrophobic/atmospheric. Raid mode is highly addictive too, I actually prefer it to The Mercenaries in RE3 & 4 because you get to explore for hidden guns/parts as well as go for the high-scores. My only criticism really is that most of the new characters were pretty annoying (Keith & Quint especially) and that there were too many action sequences, hopefully RE6 will get the balance slightly better.
