Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters coming to 3DS eShop

Kid Icarus Game Boy available in Japan next week

Nintendo fans living in Japan will be able to complete the Kid Icarus set on 3DS soon. Following on from the release of 3DS Classics: Kid Icarus, it has been confirmed that Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters is coming to the 3DS eShop next week in Japan.

With the Kid Icarus Uprising release date not far away this means that fans will be able to play all three Kid Icarus games on 3DS.

Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters is the Game Boy sequel to the NES original. This time the demon Orcos has invaded Angel Land and it's up to Pit to defeat him. Yet before he does so, he must defeat guardian monsters in the fortresses to retrieve three sacred treasures - the Wings of Pegasus, the Silver Armor and the Light Arrows. Only then will he be ready for the final battle in the Sky Palace.

Unlike the original in which you could only travel upwards, Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters scrolls in all four directions, meaning you can head back to areas you've already visited.

As ever Pit takes out enemies with his arrows. They leave hearts behind when they're defeated and you can exchange them for items in the shops and black markets.

Hopefully this will be released in the eShop in the UK. Along with Wario Land and Punch-Out!!

If its as hard as the first one has turned out to be then I don't think I'll bother.

I too was put off by the extreme difficulty of the first one. I might come back to it at some point but RE Revelations has all of my attention right now :)

This game is nowhere near as difficult as the first one, as you can no longer fall to your death while travelling upwards. It makes the whole game a lot easier in general (along with being able to slow your fall when jumping, Raccoon Mario style), although the bosses are slightly harder. I definitely think its a better game than the original, although obviously its similar.

Noob :) In my opinion it all gets a lot easier after the first fortress, especially if you have the magic crystals.
I hope Myths and Monsters makes it over here, the original is great and it's made me into a big Kid Icarus fan! :D

Should be localized for all regions, soon enough. I doubt Nintendo would keep us waiting too long. :P

Really hope we get this soon! I've completed the 3D Classics Original Twice I loved it so much and would really like another one to play! And it would be great to complete the two old ones before moving on to Uprising! :D
Please release it next week Nintendo so I get Half-Term to play it in! :P Somehow I doubt it'll be released over here for 2-4 weeks though... :(
