Mario Party 9 looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. More importantly, it's not just a bunch of mini-games with Mario games thrown in. As you can see from these Mario Party 9 screenshots, there is plenty in here for fans of the plumber's platformers.
You'll need to use your platforming skills in two of the mini-games on show here. One of them looks a bit like Mushroom Gorge from Mario Kart Wii but the shroom platforms aren't bouncy. It's basically a running race level but if you fall off the platforms you'll lose one of your three lives.
Next we have Goomba counting. You look through the binoculars and have to press A every time you see a Goomba.
Then we have Wario, Mario, Peach and a Koopa Troopa tugging on a vine. The aim is to get the grapes into your basket.
Finally we can see Mario and a Shy Guy pushing boulders down a slope. Luigi has to carry the cubes over to the other side while avoiding the boulders.
Nice new set of mini-games on show. The bolder one in particular looks quite interesting.
As for the one with the "grapes" - I think they're actually more like sweet potatos, judging by the shape, colour and how they are planted.
