Have you recently joined Club Nintendo to claim your free copy of 3D Classics: Kid Icarus? Want to know what you should spend your Club Nintendo points on in the Stars Catalogue? Here's our guide to the best Club Nintendo UK rewards...

If you haven't got a great deal of points, you can get hold of a Gusty Garden Galaxy ringtone for 350 Stars or an Animal Crossing Wallpaper for 50 Stars but if you want the really desirable stuff you had better start saving. That means you should register everything - all your games and consoles.

10. NES notebooks - 4000 Stars

They're 4000 Stars, but these NES notebooks are pretty stylish as they feature retro Mario and Zelda artwork.

9. Kirby Flying Disc - 2500 Stars

According to the Nintendo site, throwing a flying disc that looks like cute little Kirby adds an extra level of joy to the experience. We're not going to argue with them. This is the best Frisbee... we mean Flying Disc we've ever seen.

8. Hanafuda Cards - 2500 Stars

If you're a Nintendo historian (we wish such a job existed) you'll know that Nintendo actually started out as a Hanafuda card company in 1889 so this Club Nintendo item takes us back to the company's roots.

7. Mario DS case - 2500 Stars

This Princess Peach case is pretty good but it's only available in Japan. So why not use your Stars to get a case that looks like Mario's hat? You can use it to store your 3DS, DS Lite or DSi (perhaps not your DSi XL though) and it beats storing your console in your coat pocket amongst loose change and keys.

6. DSi Shoulder Bag - 7500 Stars

It's the little details that make this DSi shoulder bag. It really does look like a DSi as it sports a black spot where the camera should be and even features the battery bars.

5. Super Mario Galaxy Soundtracks - 3850 Stars

Get one of the greatest gaming soundtracks ever on CD. You can either claim the original version which features 28 tracks or shell out an extra 1000 Stars for the Platinum Edition which features 81 tracks across two discs. The original features all the best tunes including Gusty Garden Galaxy, Good Egg Galaxy and, of course, the main theme.

4. Super Mario Characters Figure - 7000 Stars

This will look great on your desk. You've got all the Mushroom Kingdom all-stars on this figure - there's Mario riding on a Yoshi, a Goomba popping out of a pipe, and Bowser looking like he's about to grab Peach while the plumber's not looking.

3. Game and Watch Ball - 7500 Stars

Played Game and Watch Gallery on the 3DS eShop? Well, you can exchange your Stars for your own Game and Watch console. Released in 1980, Game and Watch: Ball is the first Game and Watch game and this reproduction has been made exclusively for Club Nintendo members. It's a simple juggling game in which you have to press the Left and Right buttons in order to catch and throw the balls. Basic, then, but seeing as this is Nintendo's first ever handheld console, collectors will want this.

Your lucky you only chipped Epona's ear on your statue, on mine I accidentally hit the master sword and pulled half of Link's arm off and broke his hand into several pieces.

The statue is cheaper on eBay.
If you're assuming that your account is empty of Stars, and you fill it by exclusively registering games, it takes 60 games at 250 Stars each to earn it.
Taking into account that an average new DS game costs £40, it would cost you £2,400 just to earn the statue. As opposed to a mere £100 on eBay.
Even if that games only costed £30, you'd still be forking out £1,800 for the statue.

I Really Dont Know... The Statue Seems Ok But Ive Never Played Twilight Princess. The Nes Controller, Maybe But I Only Play Skyward On Wii Now And Pokepark 2 When It Comes Out The Mario Figurines Are An Option But... I Just Dont Know! I Have 7000 Stars Aproximatly. I Wonder What Happened To That Limited Edition Giratina Engraved DS Lite...

I'm interested in the Mario hat case-is there any room for 3ds games in there as well or shall i just wait for (fingers crossed) a mario/luigi 3ds case similar to Peach?

Other than that, the Mushroom Kingdom crew statue, the red/blue ninty bag and SMG cd, not much interests me

I like the practical mathematics above

That's funny, I purchased the Classic SNES Controller, yesterday. :P I should receive it within a few weeks.

As someone who purchased the Wii SNES Classic Controller a while back, I wouldn't recommend getting it. I couldn't use it since the d-pad (aka the only way to enter directional input) is assigned the buttons as if it was the d-pad on a gamecube controller. What this means is, when playing SSBB, pressing up on the SNES controller wouldn't have your character jump, but instead start a taunt. In Mario Kart Wii you can't move left or right, you can only pop a wheelie if your in a bike. If I'm missing something then I'm open to suggestions but so far I've been disappointed.

I recently got the Nintendo Laptop bag:

    http://buyclubnintendo.com/wp-content/u ... op-Bag.png

Seems like a nice bag, 7,000 points like but it was one of the few things I wanted, I did consider that SNES controller for Wii but I felt I could get more use out of the bag. Next I want to get the Mario ? block soft toy that makes noises, just need to buy a crap load of new games for a few years before I can afford it heh.

I have recently accumulated about 5000 stars again. Hmmmmm...
In the past I have got:
    Mario Galaxy CD
    Question Block
Possibly one or two other doohickeys? Not sure...

  10. George12130 Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 19:02

I got the Golden Wii Wheel and I have made sure I am the only person who uses it as it is my prized possession.

  11. thenintendoer Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 19:57

so far ive only bought wii points with my stars but sometimes i wish i hadnt i could have purchased that snes contoller or the zelda statue i also remember that girantina ds that cost something like 30000 stars

  12. CyberGW Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 20:13

An Animal Crossing Japanese style fan last Friday, unfortunately it's not on the Stars Catalogue anymore so I can't get a pic.
It'll look extremely cool and come in very handy when it gets to summer, especially if Animal Crossing 3D is out then!

  13. wolflink97 Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 20:14

i might start saving for the mario & co statue or maybe the notpads, but im sure something else will catch my eye before i have enough :P

It's a direct mimic of the SNES controller. So, of course those particular games aren't going to play right. The controllers main purpose is to be played with let's say, the Super Mario All Stars collection, or downloaded SNES games.

Bear in mind you are also getting lots of games for your money there.

I have a mario fan. It's pretty cool! Geddit! COOL! never mind.

I would love that controller though. I have actually earned about 10000 stars, but loads got deleted when the website got updated. I guess i'll just have to keep saving.

  16. imbusydoctorwho Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 20:54

I think I'm going to save up for the Game and Watch Ball,as I've only got 7000 stars,so I'm nearly there.

  17. Redfish20 Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 20:59

Ironically I am unable to afford the SNES controller as I exchanged all my stars for Wii points to buy SNES games

  18. ninjafox Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 21:19

I have the Hanafuda Cards and Super Mario Characters Figurine. The figurine is quite detailed and looks nice. Currently i have 2750 stars and am thinking of getting the Mario Mini Case & Luigi Mini Case at 2500 stars.

  19. MartinIsAwesome Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 21:23

This is ridiculous. Are you really opting for the standard Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack over the 2-Disc Platinum version? Madness!

I'd actually recommend the Wii Remote stand as a means of clearing up the mess of Wiimotes and nunchucks scattered on the floor.

  20. MikeIt0rNot69 Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 21:42

    i want them all

  21. Mastearl Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 22:00

I got the limited edition Super Masrio 25th Anniversary Coin, last year, it was only 550 stars and it ran out soon after so I was really lucky

  22. ACRID Thursday 2nd Feb 2012 at 23:35

My SNES classic controller arrived last week, it is every bit as epic as it looks in the picture.
I had to beg, borrow and steal in order to get the final 750 before Nintendo cruelly expired 1000 of my hard earned Stars.

  23. dizzy boy Friday 3rd Feb 2012 at 03:53

tbh, the snes controller is only worth gdtting if you have a whole bunch of vc games.
besides tatsunoko vs capcom, there isn't any other wii games that i know of that don't completely rely on the analogue stick as a means of controll.
i will suggest that if anybody does get the snes controller to keep the box it's delivered in with the note that it's delivered with. if you decide to sell it on, collectors will happily pay extra for those in perfect condition.

  24. j bean Friday 3rd Feb 2012 at 08:50

They do get some cool stuff in the stars catalogue but I keep spending all my stars for wii points so that I can get some of those awesome virtual console and wii ware games as I can't afford to buy all the games that I want and buy wii points as well.

  25. lightning900 Friday 3rd Feb 2012 at 10:59

In the US store they have just got an great 3DS card case which I really want but it isn't available in the UK :(

  26. Bleachyleachy Friday 3rd Feb 2012 at 19:36

I can afford the platinum Galaxy CD.
    Do I get.
    Or save for statue.
    DECISIONS.

    GET IT! GET IT NOW!!
You wont get the awesome rearragement of Bowser's Domain from Super Mario 64 on the standard version, neither will you get the brilliant Aquatic Race or Bunny Grab themes.
Platinum is the way to go!

  28. TIMMSY7 Monday 6th Feb 2012 at 19:15

Should I get Game and Watch ball or collection?

  29. PureAwesomeness Monday 6th Feb 2012 at 19:29

Purchased the statue a while back. And now I have 0 stars left.

  30. RCChick Monday 13th Feb 2012 at 13:45
