Conduit developers to make Wii U game

High Voltage is a registered developer for Wii U

High Voltage, the studio behind The Conduit, is the latest developer to sign up for Wii U.

As revealed on the company's official website, the studio is a registered developer for Wii U.

The last game from High Voltage was Captain America: Super Soldier but they are best known for Conduit, a first-person sc-fi shooter.

Conduit 2 (pictured above) was released last year for Wii and while we described it as the best looking shooter on Wii in our Conduit 2 review, there can be no doubt that first-person shooters such as this work best on HD consoles.

So considering Nintendo's next console will be HD compatible, do you want Conduit Wii U?

I expect High Voltage will develop another 1st person shooter for their first WIIU title, and hopefully it'll be a continuation of The Conduit series.

If not then I'd still be excited to see what they come out with, if only because I became a big fan of the 2 Conduit games. Due to their success pushing the Wii to it's limits graphically, I would hope they manage to stand out above the crowd in that respect also.

With the cliffhanger ending of Conduit 2 and the cult following of the series, it seems obvious that HVS are probably going to develop Conduit 3 for the Wii U.

Having said that, what ever happened to their Wii exclusive The Grinder? Maybe that's got an HD makeover and been shifted to the Wii U... I hope so, as it showed promise for a fun multiplayer game.

I guess Conduit 3,the second one ended with a cliffhanger,so it wouldn't be a surprised.
Hopefully having it on a more powerful console, means we won't have to put up with loads of glitches like we did in the first 2,though knowing High Voltage, they'll push the Wii U to it's limits and we end up with another glitchy game.

That isn't a surprise, because the game was released in very few places.

I don't have high expectations, based on their track record. Still, wonders never cease.

LOL. Who cares? just another average title to not look forward to.

Even so, it's still great to see Wii U getting more 3rd party support.

That's a good point and I am optimistic about what we can expect at this year's E3 regarding said support. Based on a number of related reports, I have the feeling that Nintendo have pulled out all of the stops to collaborate with almost every third party developer, to ensure that Wii U is a system that they will want to develop for. They will likely cover this during their conference and announce what will hopefully be one of the most comprehensive and enticing launch lineups in gaming history. Very exciting stuff.

I really think they should. The series must continue

Don't know if I should be excited, I liked conduit but not enough to get the sequel, I was looking forward to the gladiator game but it got awful reviews. That Grinder game looks pretty neat though, depends how they do it.
