Skylanders Giants trailer

Are you looking forward to it?

Here is the first trailer for Skylanders Giants, the sequel to the Wii and 3DS game Sylanders: Spyro's Adventure.

Skylanders Giants will be released this autumn but the formats have yet to be confirmed.

As you can see by watching the Skylanders Giants trailer below, the game now features eight giants that are twice the size of regular Skylanders.

Besides the giants, there are more new figures, including Bright Lights which use light technology. This means they light up when they are near or on the Portal Of Power.

So, once again, there are new figures to buy in addition to the game, but every character from the original is compatible with Skylanders Giants.

As for the adventure itself, Activision is promising all new arenas and more gameplay options in Battle Mode, as well as enhanced Elemental Zones, new Hero Challenges, and other features that encourage players to collect and level up every character. Here's the trailer...

Did you buy Skylanders? Are you looking forward to Skylanders Giants?

Yes because i ordered like 7 skylander figures of amazon and by the time they shipped the m to me i finished the game :( i was realy sad becuse the cost like 70 euros (i live in europe) and the thats a lot of money considering i bought them with my allowance. now i can use the m with giants and also buy a few other new figures. I wonder if the they will sell the game without the portal of power because, as i said, i already have the game

You might have to think again... It seems the Skylanders figures won't work with Giants - it will be a new set. It's a scam!

I have the first game on Wii and to be honest I thought it was the most surprising games of last year, and also one of the most funniest.
I knew a sequel would come, considering the game has been The title for kids, and the amount of sell outs there have been for this game.
I'm looking forward to it I must admit, but the aspect of paying to play,is still a kinda of rip-off.
Never the less,I can see this becoming the new Guitar Hero.

I really enjoyed the first game, and while I enjoy collecting the figures, it has become a pain in the arse getting any in the last 6 weeks. I call the four nearest Toys R Us to me on their delivery days, I also pop into and sometimes call my nearest two Gamestations and Game, comb online retailers for any figures. I'm sure other fans of the game will agress that if we have to do this for the second game, Activision can keep it!

Most of the problems getting figures boils down to not enough communication between Activision, wholesalers, suppliers, stores and staff of said stores. There is a lack of figures for now, that's fine I can accept that, but when exactly may we see them in shops? No one is willing to give a straight answer, the best answer you'll get is soon or perhaps next week (next week becomes the week after and then the week after that, etc). It's this that's driving most people and myself mad over these figures. Is this going to be the case with Giants too?

That said when I made my Toys R Us calls today, I found out that one particular store got in over 40 different kinds of figures yesterday, so much stock that they were struggling to put it all out today.

    A sequel already?

Yes, I loved Skylanders. I knew there'd be a sequel but I was hoping they wouldn't make more figures as there's enough already. Ah well, this looks really good, and using the figures I already have should add to the fun.

Problem is, since they're all getting sold out now, I have to order online where they won't be dispatched until a month.
