The formats for Skylanders Giants have yet to be confirmed but the game's development lead has confirmed that Toys For Bob are looking at the Wii U.
"In terms of the Wii U, we're looking at it," Paul Reich III told Joystiq.
Nintendo announced that the Wii U controller will utilise NFC technology to allow users to read and write data. Considering this is similar to how Skylanders works with the Portals Of Power, surely it would make sense to release Skylanders Giants on Wii U.
Reiche admitted that the Wii U's NFC technology is interesting but stopped short of confirming Skylanders Giants Wii U. "All of the details about the NFC technology haven't been released to the public yet, and it's really interesting," he added.

Skylanders Giants was announced yesterday. Here is the first Skylanders Giants trailer.

It's a complete rip-off though... Who wants to pay for a game and then well over £250 to complete it AND THEN buy another game and do the same?
Considering you only need one of each element to view everything in the original,I suppose getting 5 extra figures isn't that bad,but to be honest the Adventure packs were a rip off,the level only took me 15 minuets to complete, and £20 for that is a rip.
I just hope they change the price of them to a more reasonable range.
It'll come to Wii U,know doubt about that,I wouldn't be tall surprised it's a launch title.
