The Pokemon VGC begins on March 3rd in the UK but if you don't qualify for the World Championships, you may still be able to compete against Pokemon players all over the world in the Pokemon 2012 International Challenge.
Announced on the official Japanese website, it is, according to Serebii, the first Global Link Wi-Fi tournament for every Pokemon Black and White player in the world.

Registration for this tournament begins in Japan on March 15th at midnight (15:00 UK time) and ends of March 22nd. The tournament itself runs from March 22nd to March 26th.

Half the space is reserved for the Japanese? In an INTERNATIONAL challenge? Further proof that the west gets screwed when it comes to Pokemon. -.-
That's a bit selfish of Japan to be honest, half the spaces are reserved for them so the rest of the world gets the other half and I swear Japan is a tiny country anyways.
Japan is more addicted to Pokémon, and they'll probably increase the amount, but these numbers are based upon entry amounts in the past WiFi tournaments
hope you don't have to use only unova pokemon for this, like the championships in birmingham a year or two ago. lets be honest, the unova pokemon have just made things weird (the types that are mixed up together are bonkers, like dark and fighting.) and they look stupid. i just want to use my tyranitar magmortor hitmonchan espeon dragonite slowbro team for this sort of thing...
Am from scotland and im going to enter this.
i still wish the worlds came to ireland,i can't afford to travel somewhere to go to them.
