A new Star Trek game based on the forthcoming film will be released in 2013 on all major home consoles.
Namco Bandai is behind the game but the company hasn't confirmed if one of the major consoles is Wii U. Yet considering Wii U is set for release before Christmas 2012, Nintendo's new console will be one of the major consoles available in 2013.
Described as an action-packed combat game, Star Trek is set for release in the first quarter of 2013 ahead of the film's release on May 17th.
Star Trek is the second Trek film from director and producer J.J. Abrams. The game is based on a stand-alone storyline that continues the adventure of Kirk and Spock as they work together to stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy.

can't wii u have a Nintendo star trek cross over kirk meets the super Mario brothers imagine Mario fighting a gorn or luigi opening a overhead storage compartment of quadrotriticale and have a load of tribbles fall on him or the enterprise is transported to hyrule and the hylians think mr spock is actually the hero of time or have it as a series of games star trek metroid etc
