If Rayman Origins doesn't win the 'Artistic Achievement' then the Mayans were right!

And why do all these BAFTA's have a huge shortage of Nintendo games? I mean it should be illegal not to have Skyward Sword on the Audio Achievement!

  2. ARWING64 Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 11:20

3DLand should win the handheld category; if the IOS one wins that is stupid because in my opinion IOS does not count as a handheld!! Also why is Skyrim in the Artistic section? The graphics didn't look that impressive; Sonic Generations should be in that list!! Also why is MK7 not in the online multiplayer list? Also Portal 2 isn't really an action game

I think all the nintendo games have a chance of winning however for the Public vote one i think Skyward Sword could be forgotten with all the other nominations which would be horrible :(

    heres hopeing skyward sword wins

Actually, Skyrim is one of the best non-FPS/Sport games with it's graphics. They look bleak because that's the whole point, it's a fantasy game with great graphics, but they're just dull and medieval, which is what they are meant to be, so don't hate. I agree with you on Sonic though.

I've voted for Skyward Sword. Here's to hoping that those Xbox n00bs don't go for COD and vote 10 million times for it.

no offence but I only see Nintendo get 1 or 2 awards and one of them is for Mario kart 7.

  8. GuitarHero Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 12:05

I see Skyrim winning lots of awards here and rightly so.

  9. Ai64 Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 12:07

I voted for skyward sword. Hope it wins at least once.

  10. Dalekbuster523 Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 12:09

That's not fair,I want to vote for Mario Kart 7 for game award of the year.

I would've liked to have seen Rayman Origins up for Audio Achievement as well. That game had some awesome music.

  13. CraigEmberson Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 12:46

Wow, this really confuses me... Why isn't Skyward Sword in Artistic Achievement and a few others? It had more artistic achievement than any of the other "just add realism here" games, whether they were great games or not. Art doesn't equal HD and I find it so ridiculous.

Why is Skyward Sword not there for artistic achievement. With the exception of Wind Waker, it is the most beautiful video game ever. Realism is not artistic. Having graphics inspired by impressionism is artistic.

  16. Amethyst Link Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 13:03

What!? Those lists aren't fair at all D: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 should be in more categories than they are! I'm also very disappointed by the lack of Ocarina of Time 3D, come on people!

  17. oh dae su Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 14:05

It's a real shame the xenoblade isn't up for anything :(

  18. Tobeh Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 14:30

You just know Nintendo wont win hardly anything. People don't respect Nintendo games like they should.

  19. 3DSRulesO.K Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 14:37

Why is Mario Kart 7 in the Family game shortlist and nothing else ( im not sure it even counts as a family game)

Why Is Sonic Generations not on the audio achievement list! (listen to some of that brilliant music on youtube!)

Why is Skyward Sword not on the Artistic achievement List!!!

    WHERE IS XENOBLADE!!

And most of all, why is MW3 in nearly every category!!! (its even in the audio achievement list, I struggle to see how a soundtrack made up entirily of atmospheric violins can be deemed better than Sonic Generations amazing remix's of some of the best music from the golden age of video games!)

seriously, who decided this shortlist, and just like last year, Nintendos games will go unnoticed.

  20. masamune Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 14:42

    Artistic Achievement

    Batman: Arkham City
    L.A. Noire
    LitteBigPlanet 2
    Raymans Origins
The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim
    Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

    ahahahaha

they didn't even include El Shaddai

  21. hazzamadazzla Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 14:49

I'm sorry, but can someone please explain to me why Resident Evil: Revelations is not in mobile and handheld, if you ask me it could be nominated for best game!

  22. TaskOfMajora Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 16:40

I hope the awards in March aren't a car crash of a disaster with COD winning EVERYTHING and Zelda and Nintendo winning NOTHING!

If that DOES happen then you know that true gaming is dead...

  23. chrismartin181 Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 17:42

This is disgusting, Skyward Sword should be nominated in so many of the other categories. It is possibly the greatest game ever created

  24. PureAwesomeness Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 17:54

It's a real shame the xenoblade isn't up for anything :(

Hear hear, but I'm still hoping that Skyward Sword wins.

  25. thenintendoer Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 19:03

suprised cod didnt get nominated for the innovative award

  26. GuitarHero Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 19:11

I don't know why you're all suprised, the list seems about right and I wouldn't change it.

  27. Da_Epic_Fail Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 19:41

I voted for Skyward Sword, but I don't have my hopes up. I feel like Skyrim will win it, since its won every other Game of the Year award under the sun. If Skyward Sword or Portal 2 wins then i'll be happy (although I did like Arkham City).

  28. MikeIt0rNot69 Thursday 16th Feb 2012 at 22:44

6 they should go for 7 next year

  29. mckenzielad1297 Friday 17th Feb 2012 at 02:32

Skyrim will win alot and it deserves to it is a brilliant game

  30. Sir Joe Friday 17th Feb 2012 at 10:59

There are a few games that weren't included at all that we would include like Xenoblade in several categories (story and original music come to mind) but there you go. People have huge disagreements over the film and TV BAFTA's every year, and any major awards ceremony for that matter.

Personally I'm glad the UK has a relatively classy big awards show especially when compared to the likes of the cringe worthy Spike VGA's in the US. I'm also glad that Skyrim is the game with most of the attention and not Call of Duty. I don't hate Call of Duty at all but I don't like that it's become 'cool' (mainly because of the moronic behaviour that comes with something like COD becoming 'cool').

  31. Jake 346 Friday 17th Feb 2012 at 11:31

    Realistic isn't artistic!
How the flip is Skyward Sword not in artistic achievment?!

  32. Arceus_Ruler Friday 17th Feb 2012 at 18:05

    Oh my! It's the BATFAs!
