Yesterday, Satoru Iwata commented that the Kid Icarus Uprising Battle mode reminds him of Smash Bros Brawl. Now you can see if you agree with him by watching this Kid Icarus Uprising multiplayer trailer.
There are two multiplayer modes in Kid Icarus Uprising - Light Vs Dark and Free-for-All. In Light Vs Dark, two teams of three go up against each other with the goal of emptying the opposing team's health meter.
Once this happens, the the last team member to be defeated with turn into an angel and the team who defeats the opposing team's angel wins.
As for Free-for-All, this sees up to six players fighting against each other in a winner-takes-all match. You'll win if you have the highest score at the end which is achieved by killing a high number of enemies and avoiding death.
You can play both these modes locally or with six players online. If there are fewer than six players per match, the roster will be filled up with CPU-controlled characters.
You can set the CPU difficulty, weapons and team handicaps before the match.
