Kingdom Hearts 3D screenshots show new features

Battle and train your Dream Eaters

Kingdom Hearts 3D looks like it will be packed with features. These new screenshots from Famitsu show off Dive mode, the Battle Portal and Training Toys.

One cool feature is Dive mode which gives you something to do when you're travelling between all the exciting Kingdom Hearts 3D worlds.

As you fall into the world, you'll be battling enemies and grabbing prizes in a bid to get a high enough score that will grant you access to the new world.

The Battle Portal is where you can battle against a Dream Eater. Beat a Dream Eater and you'll acquire materials. You can use these to create the Dream Eater who will become your partner.

Then there's the Friend Portal which temporarily adds a Dream Eater to your battle party.

These portals are all under the Link Portal umbrella where you'll find Dream Eaters that you receive through Street Pass.

The final feature showcased in these screenshots are the Training Toys which enable you to build up your Link Points to gain more experience and abilities for your Dream Eaters.

This looks like Nintendogs for Dream Eaters as you can use your stylus to play with the Dream Eaters using Training Toys.

The Kingdom Hearts 3D UK release date will fall in 2012. Are you looking forward to it?

Ahhh, I knew the dive sequences were a replacement for the Gummi Ship segments. I just hope they're more like the KH2 versions as opposed to KH1.
