How Assassin's Creed 3 will use the Wii U controller

What will be displayed on the touch screen

Last year, Ubisoft announced that an Assassin's Creed Wii U game would boast exclusive features for the controller such as Eagle Vision, touch screen maps and the ability to select weapons. Now, Ubisoft will deliver on the promise with Assassin's Creed 3.

Nintendo Power has confirmed that the Wii U controller's screen will be used to display the map and control Eagle Vision in Assassin's Creed 3 Wii U.

In addition to the map, the controller will also display Animus entries, which can also act as an Assassin's Creed encyclopaedia. That should be handy for newcomers.

As for weapon selection, Connor will be able to switch between single weapon and dual weapon modes easily.

Finally, Eagle Vision. You'll be able to control the camera thanks to the controller's accelerometer.
