Pokemon Black and White 2 was released in Japan last weekend and has already sold 1.6 million copies, making it the third fastest selling DS game in the country.
Pokemon Black and White 2 is set two years after the events of Pokemon Black and White and features many new areas to discover as well as familiar places for you to explore in the Unova region.
As you may already know, a lot has changed in the Unova regions since the last time we visited. Cheren and Bianca are back but Bianca is now the assistant to Professor Juniper, helping her with Pokemon research, and Cheren is now a Gym Leader and a teacher at a school in Aspertia City where you begin your adventure.
One exciting new area is Virbank City, home to Pokestar Studios where you'll be able to star in your own movie with your favourite Pokemon. The movie is then shown at the in-game theatre and the audience will give it a rating based on script choices and battle move sequences. You can even create sequels to existing movies, choosing from genres that include romantic comedy and horror.
The games have been well received in Japan. Famistu were first up with a Pokemon Black and White 2 review in Japan, awarding it 36/40.
