God Save The Queen. It's something we've been accustomed to hearing this summer with the Jubilee celebrations and Team GB's Olympic golds. Yet no one was expecting to hear our national anthem in a trailer for the bloodiest game to hit a Nintendo console in years. We are, of course, talking about ZombiU.
Unveiled with an amazing trailer at E3, it was one of the best Wii U games we've played so far and having been treated to the a new demo ahead of the Gamescom show in Germany this week, nothing we've seen has changed our minds.
You can read our exclusive preview, featuring yet-to-be-disclosed details, in issue 86 of Official Nintendo Magazine which goes on sale on Wednesday 25 August but the Gamescom demo reveals many things that you won't have seen before. Here are five new facts that will make you want to buy ZombiU when it is released for Wii U.
1. You can shoot zombies inside Buckingham Palace
The E3 demo featured a level outside Buckingham Palace in which you took out hordes of zombies (and took the odd zombie bite, sending you back to Shadwell Station). Now it has been revealed that you can make it beyond the palace gates and enter the Queen's abode. It looks just like a stately home with large portraits on the wall and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling but its inhabitants are very different.
There are no corgis scampering around and the Queen doesn't appear to be home as you shoot an undead member of the Queen's Guard from the top of a staircase.
