FIFA 13 screenshots show Wii U improvements

Why FIFA Wii U is the best looking version

These new FIFA 13 screenshots show how the Wii U version of the game has made visual improvements upon the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

Having played FIFA 13 Wii U yesterday we can report that the memory of the Wii U has enabled EA to improve certain visual aspects such as the crowd, the shirts and the pitch. For example, if you zoom in on some shirts such as the Celtic home kit you can see extra detail such as the mesh design.

Matthew Prior, the producer of the Wii U version, also confirmed to ONM that his team had been able to make certain improvements thanks to the memory.

However, these screens don't show off the touchscreen modes exclusive to the Wii U version. These enable you to pass, shoot and make runs by tapping and swiping the GamePad screen.

Thank God the cartoony style seems now to be a thing of the past - now I want confirmation that the Nintendo version is getting all the modes that the Other Formats do.

Also - no screenshots of Celtic (Chris) or Norwich (Tom)? That must be an ONM first...

Apparently - don't hold me to this - There is no ultimate team mode on the Wii U, which is a major non-seller for me. Hopefully everything else will be there, but I've also heard they've not had time to implement the New first touch system, tweaked impact engine, or tweaked skill system - seems like they've re-skinned Fifa 12, and cut a few modes.....A little unfortunate if you ask me, although I will still probably get it, but the lack of ultimate team is a real real shame..
