ZombiU multiplayer arenas take place in a 'hell within hell'

New London location revealed

You've seen ZombiU trailers showcasing Buckingham Palace and The Tower Of London but, in an exclusive interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, story director Gabrielle Shrager revealed a new London location that is home to the multiplayer arenas.

It's called St George's Yard and Shrager described it as a hell within hell.

"You've seen the Tower Of London gameplay footage by now, so you know we are going to have to breach the Traitor's Gate and penetrate the depths of the Bloody Tower to find the Raven Of Dee's Secret Bunker, but you've never heard of St George's Yard.

"St George's is our hell within hell. Survivors here are unwilling participants in a twisted game in which they are thrown to the infected. Our multiplayer arenas are a spin-off of this mission in the campaign."

One such multiplayer mode is King Of Zombies, ZombiU's unique take on the standard Capture The Flag mode in which one player with the GamePad can place zombies around the flag with the touchscreen while the other has to shoot them down using the Wii U Pro Controller.

ZombIU is the best Wii U multiplayer game we've seen so far.

You can read the full interview with Gabrielle Shrager in the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine.

Got the Zombiu bundle pre-ordered and I am so hyped! I know horror is at it's scariest in single player mode but a co op multiplayer mode or two would undoubtedly be a ton of fun. Even without it the game looks fantastic but maybe we'll see it in a sequel if this game does well enough. .

Local multiplayer is much more fun than online multiplayer because you can play with people in the same room.
And it hasn't been confirmed whether or not the game has online multiplayer, do don't start spreading rumors!

Cool guy my "friends" are not my siblings. I would like some online with this awesome game too so i can play with my mates when they are stuck indoors with their kids or the ones whom are in a different country/county.

But i guess that means i'm a billy no mates according to you.........

To be honest - I care. I like the idea of getting a few friends over and killing some zombies, rather than just talking over Xbox live in the dark of your room, whilst wearing nothing but boxer shorts.......The idea of online play is good, but I do like that a lot of Wii U titles are going to take advantage of this asymmetric gameplay style, I think its very "back to roots" as far as multiplayer gaming is concerned!!
