Wii U game reviews incoming

Find out what we think of the big Wii U launch games at midnight

We wouldn't normally recommend staying up until midnight on a school night but you might want to make an exception this evening. For we will be revealing what are the best Wii U launch games as soon as the Wii U reviews embargo lifts.

We've been spending the last few weeks playing ZombiU, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros U, FIFA 13 Wii U, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition to bring you reviews of the biggest Wii U launch games before the console is released in the UK on 30 November.

Of course Wii U is released in the US on 18 November which is why many websites will be delivering reviews of the launch games early.

However, we realise that many of you will be looking forward to reading our reviews in the all-new, redesigned issue of Official Nintendo Magazine which goes on sale on 21 November. So we won't be posting our reviews on the website before the magazine goes on sale but we will give you a brief summary of each game we've reviewed along with the score.

That way, you can see what the best Wii U games are. So that's midnight tonight for New Super Mario Bros U, Nintendo Land, FIFA 13 Wii U, Sonic And All Stars Racing and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. We'll add ZombiU when the embargo lifts at midnight on Saturday.

As we build up to the Wii U UK release date on 30 November, we'll have some great, exclusive videos of the Wii U launch games and we aim to review as many of the launch games as possible on the website.

We'll also have a podcast for you to listen to next week and we're recording a special Wii U launch podcast that will go live on 29 November.

So that's what's coming up. In the meantime, let us know what you think our highest rated Wii U game will be...

TWO podcasts?! Heaven! Although that does mean more work for me and my ONM Podcast Archive .

Are you sure you want to be posting scores at midnight? Seems a bit late at night to start defending your score of New Super Mario Bros. U from the inevitable backlash. =P

Hi all. Sorry, slight mistake here. The ZombiU embargo end at midnight Saturday, nut tonight, so that score won't go up for another 2 days. Sorry!

Haven't reviewed Assassin's yet. We'll add that to the list later. Martin, you don't know what we've given NSMBU! I hope that people will be kind enough to read the reviews in the magazine before the backlash!

The mag really is a cracker. Even though we'll be revealing some scores, I really hope you all buy it as the reviews themselves are really good.

lol, I don't need to know. It seems you guys ofter get complaints no matter what score you give, that why I said it's inevitable.
I'm commenting after the scores have been posted, but I haven't seen them yet. I'd expect a high one for New Super Mario Bros. U because from what I've played of it at the Wii U Showcase events, it was still brilliant even if there wasn't much new from the previous games. I'd also image that the presentation and the mulitude of bonus modes and challanges that Nintendo has added in will be enough to make it at least on par with the other ones.
