The Walking Dead coming to Wii U in first-person shooter

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct coming in March

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has been confirmed for Wii U, with a UK release date set for 29 March.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a first-person stealth/action game based on the hit graphic novel and TV series and while the game is coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, the Wii U version will take advantage of the console's unique features.

As with ZombiU, you'll use the GamePad touchscreen to manage inventory. Producer Glenn Gamble told DigitalSpy: "With the Wii U you have access to your backpack at all times, so you can tap what weapons you want, you can drop stuff. It's a lot more streamlined."

Here are the first screenshots:

Looks, with no pun intended, a bit lifeless from these and other screenshots/footage. You'd think they'd do more with such a franchise. Hoped we'd get the downloadable titles on Wii U more.

I was hoping they'd wait a lot longer to release it, the gameplay they've shown so far looks absolutely terrible.

YES. I love this show and you get to play as the best character Daryl. If you haven't seen the show I recommend it.

I was hoping it was going to be the excellent walking dead games available on XBL / PSN

The screenshots seem, er....well....look, on the bright side it's more 3rd-party support for the Wii U!

so instead of the critically acclaimed action adventure games like the other consoles we get a potentitaly rushed and generic fps with the walking dead titile slapped on it actually reminds me of the ghost recon game released on wii

Throw in that point and click version I've heard so much good stuff about and I'm sold :P Doubt it'd happen though.

Love the franchise, watched all the shows thus far and read a lot of the comics, but these screenshots look terrible. I would rather have telltales version on the eshop
