Kid Icarus: Uprising beat all comers at the Official Nintendo Magazine Game of the Year awards to be named the magazine's Game of the Year 2012. The award, as voted for by readers of ONM, was conferred upon the game for its outstanding campaign and engaging online multiplayer mode.
Uprising, a sequel to 1991's Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, takes Pit on a journey to battle the evil Medusa, Queen of Darkness. Thankfully, he's got Palutena, Goddess of Light on his side, as well as newfound powers of flight. The game was released in March last year and earned 91% from ONM- with this latest award confirming that Pit's newest outing was well worth the 20-year wait.
