Pikmin 3 UK release date scheduled for 'spring-summer'

Iwata: Software line-up will be made stronger from spring to summer

The Pikmin 3 UK release date is scheduled for 'spring-summer'. Yes, Nintendo has published a European release schedule and Pikmin 3 is one of four Wii U games that will be released during the 'spring-summer' period.

The Wonderful 101, Game and Wario and Wii Fit U will also be released at this time while the Wii Party Wii U game will also be released in the summer.

Considering that Pikmin 3 was recently scheduled for release in Q2 2013, it looks like it the earliest it will be released is April but it come also come out in June.

According to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, Pikmin 3 is part of a strong line-up of games that will see Wii U regain momentum this year.

Speaking during a financial results briefing, Iwata said: "We will have few titles to be released early this year, but our software lineup will be gradually made stronger from spring to summer. To give sales momentum to the hardware, from the latter half of this year to next year, we will intensively launch our key titles including those we announced in the Wii U Direct - Nintendo Games presentation last week.

"As a decisive factor in buying a console is that you cannot play a much-anticipated title without the hardware, we will make a lot of such titles available during this time."

The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker will be released in Europe in the autumn while the likes of Yarn Yoshi, Shin Megami Tensi X Fire Emblem, The Legend Of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart and 3D Mario all appear on the release schedule even though the release dates for these titles have yet to be confirmed.

They always move their dates back. Who honestly expected this at launch anyway?
