New Wreck It Ralph screenshots and teaser trailer

See more of the 3DS, Wii and DS game

For gamers, Wreck It Ralph could be the film of the year. A Wreck It Ralph game is coming to 3DS, Wii and DS and you can see what it's all about by checking out these screenshots. We've also got a teaser trailer for you.

The likes of Bowser, Zangief and Dr Eggman appear in the film which stars Ralph, a villain who is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, the good guy star of their arcade game who always gets to save the day. After decades of seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph he takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero.

The game, however, begins where the movie leaves off as Ralph teams up with Fix-It Felix to save their friends and home from a huge Cy-Bug invasion. So he pounds through all-new levels in the universe, like Sugar Rush, Hero's Duty, and Fix-It Felix, Jr.

Wreck It Ralph is an arcade-style side-scrolling game in which you have to use Ralph's destructive strength to beat by the Cy-Bugs, but you can also switch to playing as Felix to repair the damage. With story campaign and two-player co-op on Wii, you can switch between Ralph and Felix to solve action-packed puzzles and collect Hero Medals.

Hopefully, a video game based on a film that celebrates video games will end up being half decent.

It's a brilliant idea, and I cant say I'm surprised that they would release a game on the movie....we'll see if it has a lot to offer.

Meh. Movie tie-ins are usually rubbish. (Note, fans of the original Goldeneye, I said "usually") This only holds my interest for the whole inception "game based on a movie that celebrates games" thing. I will be watching the movie. The moment it comes out in my local cinema. Bowser <3

I wouldn't get your hopes up. It's already out in America so you can easily find a play through online. I watched 5 minutes of one as was so disgusted that I had to stop watching ;)
