Trine 2, Tank Tank Tank and Chasing Aurora to be reduced in the Wii U eShop

This week's eShop games

You can save money on Tank Tank Tank, Trine 2 and Chasing Aurora in the Wii U eShop this week while 3DS owners can download Castlevania, Shifting World, Mahjong 3D - Warriors of the Emperor and a 2 Fast 4 Gnomz demo.

There are no new games for Wii U this week but you can download a Tank Tank Tank Starter pack for free and buy extra modes for just £1.59. Chasing Aurora has been reduced from £10.79 to £7.99 and the brilliant Trine 2 is now £9.99.

Tank Tank Tank (Wii U: Namco Bandai, free) is now free to download. That's right, you can get hold of the Starter Pack and play Monster Battle, Free-For-All, and Team Versus mode for free. However, you can only play each mode three times a day so if you want to play more Tank Tank Tank, you'll need to download each mode. Extra modes start at £1.59.

Shifting World (3DS: Rising Star, £17.99) was released in September but has now made its way to the 3DS eShop. A 3D re-imagining of the PC flash game Shift, you have to find your way out of the room by shifting the black and white world. We gave it 45% in issue 87.

Mahjong 3D - Warriors of the Emperor (3DS: Treva Entertainment, £17.99) is another 3DS game that's being made available for download this week. As a powerful commander, you have to enter the field of battle and conquer the Chinese Empire by completing over 160 Mahjong puzzles. You can use special power-ups like Whirlwind or Earthquake to help you do so. There's also a level editor.

The NES version of Castlevania (3DS: Konami, £4.49) is coming to the 3DS Virtual Console this week ahead of the release of Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate next month. This takes us back to where it all started as vampire hunter Simon Belmont fights his way through Dracula's castle which is teeming with ghosts, goblins, demons and more supernatural creatures. Get through the six challenging levels and you'll finally meet Dracula.

Tank Tank Tank becoming F2P is interesting. I'll see how much it costs altogether before trying it and then I'll see if it's worth the purchase

Wanted to play T.T.T so there's no better time! Got ten pound to spare so will buy the extra modes.

As long as the final cost of Tank X3 is less than Ł15 I'm in. Sounds like a great deal. I do feel sorry for those that paid full price at launch though.

Trying tanktanktank for free is a good way to go, but Id like to know how much it will cost altogether to know if its worth buying

Very interesting on TTT. I've wanted to try it but I doubt I'll be convincing my mates to have a go on the Wii U anytime soon (plus I'd have to take mine round to someones house which'd be a pain) so I'm only really interested in a few hours on the single player. Will have to download it and have a look either way

I'll give it a go for sure, now that it's free (to a limited extent).

Tank Tank Tank became Freemium on the eShop a while ago in Japan, and it was very well received, so it makes sense to allow that option in Europe. Not sure if the Americas will get the same treatment, though I suspect they might.

Still, now's a better time for people who weren't sure about the game to give it a spin. If you like it, the option to buy the extra modes is a plus. Definitely a good thing.
