Video: Luigi does a little dance to celebrate the year of Luigi

He's Luigi. Number one!

Forget Mario. It's the year of Luigi! That's what Nintendo are telling us, anyway. And to celebrate Luigi decides to do The Harlem Shake.

We wonder if Luigi would still be dancing if someone had told Luigi that his brother would also muscle in on the action in Mario And Luigi: Dream Team, Mario Golf: World Tour, Mario Vs Donkey Kong: Minis On The Move, a new Mario Kart Wii U game and a new 3D Mario game for Wii U. And, for his moment in the spotlight, Luigi has to go back to a haunted mansion.

Anyway, on with the video which was posted on Nintendo's Youtube page over the weekend.

Strangely compelling. It's funnier when you just watch the first half repeatedly. XD

It doesn't matter how many times I find that video both amusing and brilliant, and irrespective of how Nintendo have always been different, this year needs to be the year Nintendo press home the early advantage they have with the Wii U. Any other gimmicks can be left at the door as far as I'm concerned.

That said, I guess they need a distraction of some description, and Luigi fits the bill perfectly. \o/
