Pokemon X and Y news coming on 19 May

Massive Pokemon X and Y special on Pokemon Smash

Game Freak director Junichi Masuda will reveal more about Pokemon X and Y on 19 May. Masuda is set to appear on Pokemon Smash, the Japanese Pokemon show, where he will deliver more news for the sixth generation games.

The show is said to be a massive Pokemon X and Y special and you can expect to hear lots of information about the games. Will we learn more about the adventures themselves rather than the new Pokemon.

Pokemon fans should know that you may hear more about Pokemon X and Y before the show as the next edition of CoroCoro magazine is due for release next week.

What do you want to be revealed? Here are nine questions that still need to be answered about Pokemon X and Y.

Fantastic, it's about time we got some information on the games themselves. We've been waiting since January for something like this. :)

hope they reveal the last evos of the starters. I still cant decide which to chose, the only half decent looking one is fennekin. And masses of people are set on chosing that.

    lots of information

Ha. I'd love for it to be a big reveal of some sort, but at the rate they're trickling information out, I don't have my hopes up.

I expect the region map/name will be included (that's probably the next big reveal due), probably more details about the Pokemon that have already been announced as well (types, evolution, etc.)... possibly also an introduction to new mechanics.

Great! Be waiting for this expectantly when the time comes.
Only thing I can see though is that the time will be nigh upon midnight again. And there'll probably be an episode of the anime before the news.

Hope the date hasn't been pushed back...

I doubt the date will be pushed back because they are trying for a simultaneous worldwide release and that would mean pushing it back for Japan as well. It'll most likely be new pokemon/town or city names/gyms etc.

I want to find out about the games more than the new pokemon. We still know absolutely nothing about the new region or the Gym leaders or the Villainous teams or anything. Though, I doubt that we'd get anything that in-depth this far from the launch, It would be nice to know what they were called, at least.

Considering Pokemon Smash showed 3 videos when they said there will be big news (The starter fights, Mewtwo Awakened Forme and Sylveon) - I'd imagine we'll find out the 2nd stage evolutions, how Mewtwo will be changed in the game and Sylveon's rumoured "brand new type" (as the source that leaked the Fairy type is well known for always having been accurate - as far as leaking descriptions of all Gen 5 Pokemon and even having a friend draw fanart of the images he saw of them, before TPCi showed them).
