First Disney Planes game trailer

See more of Disney's new game that will be released exclusively on Nintendo consoles

As well as Disney Infinity, Disney fans can play Disney Planes on Wii U, Wii, 3DS and DS this summer. The game of the forthcoming film is coming exclusively to Nintendo platforms on 16 August and you can see it in action by watching this new trailer.

Disney Planes is a spin-off from the successful Cars films. Set above the world of Cars, it stars Dusty, a big-hearted, speed-loving crop duster. You can play as Dusty who is one of 10 characters from the film who you'll be able to fly in the game in four modes, including Air Rallies, Story, Free Flight and Balloon Popping.

That's the console game. The handheld versions feature six characters, six environments, three modes and over 40 missions.

*Sigh* Yet another cash grab by Disney. However, maybe they knew it would be bad, so that it will turn people away from Nintendo systems if they bought the game.

Definitely not what WiiU needs right now; another reason to put core gamers off. It might do okay on the other consoles though.

well the trailer (despite being just 30 seconds) made my son smile (he's only 2 & half) & I for one will buy him it he's already got skylanders & i've pre ordered the entire disney infinity despite his age he's actually pretty good at a few wii u games already.
so despite all the negative comments the wii u does need some kid friendly games & that is what this is aimed at. (i'm not saying it will be brilliant by the way) kids love cars movies kids will love planes movie kids will want planes game parents will buy it for kids & nintendo will make more money every sale counts.
is it a console seller? obviously not but there is still a market for it!

the console seller will come at xmas when you'll get a 32gb wii u with mario kart in box for under Ł200

let the kids have some games to play my son is still a bit young to be killing zombies!
