Bravely Default coming to UK in 2014

Square-Enix RPG on the way next year

Bravely Default will be released in Europe in 2014. Nintendo has yet to announce a concrete release date for Square-Enix's RPG but, thanks to Nintendo's latest release schedule, we now know that it's coming next year.

Bravely Default was released in Japan in October 2012. It stars Tiz, the survivor of a shocking disaster. His home town has been sucked into a giant hole and darkness is approaching. However, he meets an ally in Anies who wants to prevent the darkness.

Also on the release schedule is Professor Layton And The Azran Legacy which is scheduled for 'later 2013' but won't be coming to the US until 2014.

Additionally, The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming to Europe and the US towards the end of 2013 but won't be released in Japan until early 2014.

Release dates for games that have yet to be confirmed for Europe include Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can you Stay Focused?, Yarn Yoshi, Shin Megami X Fire Emblem and The Legend Of Zelda Wii U.

Shame we're not getting this until next year. I was primed and ready to spend money on it around Christmas time.

But, A Link Between Worlds as the trade-off? You know, I wouldn't normally care for a Zelda game, but money will be spent on that. My wallet is going to be so poor!

It really wasn't a trade-off between Zelda and Bravely Default, you know :D

I'm pretty sure they realised they couldn't have Bravely Default ready for the holidays... and let's be honest, with Pokémon + Zelda, Christmas was gonna be really busy on the 3DS. A poor JRPG like Bravely Default would've probably been overshadowed by those two.

An early 2014 release might be better, as it'd get more exposure + we'd have something to play (unlike 2013 and its total lack of release until Castlevania in early march... then one more month of waiting before Luigi's Mansion 2 and MH3U).

I notice on the list that neither Scribblenauts games are mentioned for Europe at all. Looks like Unlimited has been cancelled completely and Unmasked isn't coming either. So much for "we'll have more info very soon", NoE.

So, still no SMT IV news then?

2014 is vague at best, but it's at least better then the "at some point" release date we've had until now.

Urgh...The Nintendo Direct that announced the localisation said it was going to be in 2013. Urgh >>.

To me, it was. I'd much rather have Bravely Default than Zelda. I don't follow the masses unless it's Mario or Pokémon. Never have been a huge Zelda fan, never will be.

We're getting that in September. It was confirmed a while ago, or did people forget?

I'm kinda happy it;s coming next year, because I think it probably would've got lost with all the big releases that come out later this year.

Wow, really? When and where was that? I've been searching everywhere and couldn't find it. And if so, would there be a reason for it to not appear in this document?

No doubt Zelda will be awesome.

Bravely Default looks really good and I'll definitely get it providing it gets good reviews :)
