Pokemon X and Y will be playable at Gamescom

A short playable demo will be at the German trade show

The first ever Pokemon X and Y demo will be playable at the Gamescom trade show which takes place in Germany this month.

Nintendo will have a booth packed with playable games at the Cologne show which runs from 21-25 August, including a short playable demo of Pokemon X and Y.

This will be the first time that anyone in Europe will have the opportunity to play the new 3DS games but fans will be hoping that this demo makes it to the eShop.

The short demo promises to give a little taste of Kalos, the brand new region in Pokemon X and Y, and some battle action with new Pokemon.

Other games on show include Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Sonic: Lost World, Wii Party U, Super Mario 3D World, Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND, Mario Kart 8, Professor Layton & The Azran Legacy and The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
